Crimes: The Public's Opinion. LuMP

Over recent weeks, people have been posting their Statistics on the forums, and I have noticed their crime attempts are very low. This made The Buzz think, are crimes really worth it? We decided that it would be best to quiz the Bootleggers' Public on what they think of the crimes and what could be improved.

I was in charge of this and sent messages to random people on the Users Online list and asked them some questions about their opinion on crimes. Results show that 55% of people do enjoy doing crimes, and 20% really don’t, the remaining 25% don’t mind it. I asked them all if they could recommend an update to improve crimes. 75% responded with an idea, and of those who responded with their own idea, 73% wanted higher payouts, 12% wanted bullet rewards and 5% wanted a longer wait for some crimes, or special rank crimes, for example a crime where your rank needed to be Don or higher.

On the plus side, they help towards ranking, and during the first few days of a new account it could be crucial to ranking, as many players do not like doing organized crimes with such low ranks. When you get to a higher rank however, they could make a significant difference to whether you rank after your next organized crime, or after ten.

On the other hand, they give out very little reward and many people cannot be bothered to waste time on doing petty crimes and instead do other things to help their ranking, such as busting, stealing cars and killing.

I think chose two more random people from the User Online list and spoke to them in a bit more detail, “I think they are an essential part of bootleggers since that's what was happening at the time bootleggers was created,” Caryopsis said before adding, “but I only do crimes when I think about it. The next question was how he thought the crimes could be improved. He replied, “I think there should be more choices or maybe more benefits like occasional bonuses. As for more choices, I would like to see a bank robbing spree!” I finished by asking Caryopsis if he wanted to add any other comments. “I'd like to see more options like racketeering territories inside state capitals or the option of building a hotel, a restaurant or something else that could bring in some more money to players.” He added, “Sleep or eat and gain health points like at the hospital but without extra rewards that the hospital could have. For example: Go at the hospital and get your health +25% protection back. You would get nothing at a restaurant or hotel”

However, I went on to interview somebody who had a different view about crimes.
“Crimes are only good for ranking up when you can’t do Auto Burglary,” KoalaYummies explained. “They barely give you any money and are very tedious.”
KoalaYummies then stated, “I do crimes when I am really bored or think of it. Never every 2 minutes though.” I finished by asking KoalaYummies how he thought that crimes could be improved. He responded with, “They should make them have a better outcome, perhaps with better rewards.”

The vast majority of the Bootleggers public enjoy doing crimes, but would enjoy a higher payout, or a bullet reward. Some thought they were perfect the way they were. Some just outright disliked them and didn’t bother with them. This is their choice however, are they worth it? You decide!
