Buzz Freelance Competition Mikamon

The past few weeks have been pretty quiet when it comes to freelance articles. As Buzz Team, we found it sad that we missed the articles from the non-official writers as it are those articles that are allowed to contain an opinion and can totally change one's view on an event. In an attempt to get freelance articles being sent in again and to show you how fun writing is, the Buzz is organizing a Freelance Competition for which we have reserved a total of $500,000,000.

In this competition, we invite all players to submit Freelance articles on a Bootleggers related topic of their own choice. All articles will be published in the Buzz that is released at the end of the competition week. After that, the Buzz Team will pick the three articles they like best and award them with prices. The article the team decides to be the best will receive a prize of 200 million dollars. The second price is 150 million and we have 50 million for the writer of the article that will end at place three. However, the articles aren't published in the Buzz for the fun of it. Of course the opinion of you, the player and reader, is important. After all the readers must also like what they read. Therefor, the Buzz is giving away another prize of 100 million for the article that is rated best.

Now, you've read about the prizes and the contest and wouldn't mind giving it a try. That's excellent! To join, the Buzz requires you to write a freelance article on a Bootleggers topic of your choice. The subject can be either serious or funny, very large or pretty small, it doesn't matter as long as it is related to Bootleggers. All entry articles can be submitted as a Freelance article via the option 'Freelance Article' in the drop menu that is at the bottom of the Buzz page. Each entry must have a minimum of three paragraphs of which each has a minimum length of five sentences. For more tips on how to write an article you can read the 'So You Think You Can Write?' article which has been printed in this issue as well. Mind that grammar and punctuation will need to be of high level, if not (nearly) flawless, in order for you to have a chance of winning the grand prize. Do note that entries that are considered of very poor quality or as a joke will be deleted immediately.

The contest starts right away and will last one week. At the end of the week, all submitted articles will be published in the Buzz of the 28th of Febuary. After that the voting can start and the Buzz Team will select their winners. All winners will be announced in the issue after that, March 7. If you have finished your entry then please submit it as a freelance article. Every play may only join with one article, so make sure the first one you submit is the right one. Should you die during the contest then there is no reason to re-submit. The new player can simply claim his or her prize at the end of the contest. Good luck to everyone!
