Mikamon Joins The Yellow Line-up! iSmurf

For a while now, the Help Desk has been changing. Initially, its appearance was altered, this was then followed by the rating system being added and finally, earlier this week, Bootleggers saw some Help Desk Operators (HDOs) return to white, two moving up to green, and a new name appearing, Mikamon.

Firstly, Mikamon told the Buzz how he felt about becoming a HDO, “It feel pretty good to be honest. I'm happy that I have been given the opportunity to help players through the Help Desk now.” He then added, “I would be lying if I would say I wasn't aiming for it at all. However, mainly I just tried to help players. After all, that is what matters. I knew it could get me in yellow, but it has never been my primary goal.”

An honour and a privilege this must be for Mikamon, it must also come with a lot of responsibilities, and he will probably be seen in a different way by fellow players. Therefore, we asked whether Mikamon felt that his persona or interaction with other players would change as a consequence to becoming a HDO. “No. At least I hope not. I wouldn't like myself for it if getting to HDO would change the way I interact with players. I am still a normal player and the same guy I used to be. I have no intentions of changing that,” Mikamon expressed to the Buzz.

As it isn’t exactly clear what is expected of a HDO, we asked Mikamon if he could tell us what his new role consisted of and what responsibilities came with it, to which Mikamon explained, “Mainly we are expected to answer all questions players send to the Help Desk or send us by Bootmail. Moderating the forums isn't what we are expected to do, but we are allowed to do it if we see something that is not allowed. The Help Desk is our main responsibility though.”

Regarding the future of Mikamon as a HDO, we eagerly asked him whether we he has any big plans. “My 'plan' is to help people as good and as much as I possibly can. Apart from that I just want to keep playing the game. No big plans or aims. Simply helping people and carrying on the way I used to,” Mikamon replied.

As our interview with Mikamon drew to a close, we asked him if there was anything else that he would like to add, he replied, “I would like to thank everyone that has congratulated me one way or another and I would also like to thank the Elite Guard for giving me this opportunity. I hope to life up to everyone's expectations.” The Buzz would also like to express a warm thank-you to Mikamon for all of the help that he has given us, not just here, but also in the Bootleggers community as a whole. We hope that he will continue to do so for a long time to come.
