Welcome to issue #119 of the Bootleggers Buzz!
Contrary to the previous week, we were very happy to see this one getting filled with all kinds of action, from new State Dons and a new Nation Don to several new crews, a crew takeover and even an attack on a crew that has the highest amount of members in it for quite a while now. Of course, the Buzz did its very best to cover every event to full extend so that everyone will be totally up to date with the happenings of Bootleggers after reading this issue.
The start of this week was mainly marked by new State- and Nation Dons. With several appeals being declined, positions became vacant and were soon seized by their new owners. During this week, Michigan, Louisiana, New York and New Jersey all had a new State Don. In addition, Bootleggers also welcomed a new Nation Don which formed the conclusion of the large number of promotions.
The current Nation Don, who was State Don at the time, also gave us some action at the start of this week as he aided in the takeover of The Legends. After an inside takeover, it seems like we have to say goodbye to The Legends for now. Furthermore, we were honored to welcome an oldschool crew that some might remember from the previous round: Ombra Di Lucifer. Alongside them came The Direct Rule, Lynx and Green Street Elite, three other new crews to the Bootleggers statistics. However, this very day probably provided us with the biggest piece of action this week when Eternal Labyrinth came under attack and lost a very large amount of members. We are thrilled as we have been informed it may not even be over yet.
Thanks to the kind donation of TheBrewer, the Buzz is able to give away the New Jersey Roulette in a competition. Nyxxie is holding it right now, but if you join our contest and are chosen as the winner, you might be the next owner of this shiny casino. Information on the contest is in the article, so good luck to those who wish to join!
And as always we have our weekly segments lined up for you and ready to read and enjoy. We have 'Telling It Like It Is', 'A Year Back' and 'The Weekly Flash' lined up for you and hope that you will like reading all of them. As you might have noticed, 'Behind the Name' is not in this week's issue. The reason for this is that we have decided to revise the segment as it has been the same for quite a while now. Any suggestions regarding how we can improve this segment are of course appreciated and can be send to either Nyxxie or Mika.
We still welcome new writers with open arms. If you love to write and like to get to the bottom of things that happen on Bootleggers than you might be interested in becoming a Buzz writer. Read the reprinted version of 'So You Think You Can Write?' in Issue 97 and get your keyboard going. Submit your sample article via the 'Application' option in the drop menu and give us a week to get back to you. We love new colleagues, so we will make sure not to forget you!
