The Worth of a Fair Vote Nyxxie

In the early afternoon hours on April 11th, the voting count on www.mpogd.com drastically reduced from the whereabouts of over 7,500 to 3,500, and an unmentioned competing game witnessed the same fate. The change in voting numbers raised questions in both games main forums. Speculations ran around with player's own ideas on what could have happened.

Nyxxie, Buzz Editor, managed to get a hold of mpogd.com's website editor, Jodie McIntyre, with a simple question of why the reduced votes. Jodie replied, "Both companies were using proxies. [Bootleggers] were not as obvious, but the competing game was. We cut votes from both games for using proxies as a warning." She continued, "If it happens again that game will be disqualified."

Thankful for her reply, we took our research elsewhere, leading us to the main topic in the Game Forum. BSF2000 made an official reply around 5:20AM Bootleggers time, stating, "Unfortunately, Bootleggers is a victim of proxy cheating by the other game." He continued to supply the players with a nifty graph that can be located at http://www.bootleggers.us/mpogd_results.php, BSF2000 went on to say, "Although other games have resorted to cheating, we do thank our players for continuing to play fair and voting daily."

While BSF2000 was posting in his own game, the administrator of a competition game was as well, stating "We discourage using any illegal means to vote as we're sure we can win this fairly," while one of his players continued giving public forum directions on how everyone can effectively cheat in favor of the competing game, "to all desconnect you'r internet ad connect and thus the ip changed and vote and again," and although Bootleggers does not condone this type of action either, it's safe to say the "other" game's players are willing to go a little further step in the wrong direction for a win.

With Bootleggers, currently at a steady 1,500 vote lead, is it safe to ensure a win this early in the month? There's one thing that can be said to players voting on either side, if you're going to win, win fairly. Happy gaming and happy voting!
