Buzz Contest MikaTheGoofball

Ex-Moderator Air has hosted a contest called Grand Theft Mania a little over two years ago, in issue 33 to be exact, and the we felt it was time to host one again! Those who started playing more recently of course have no idea what this Grand Theft Mania means, and some older players might have vague memories regarding the event. In order to help refresh the memories and fill the newer players in I will explain the event.

The Grand Theft Mania was a contest thought of by Air. He put Testaccount into a crew that had won a dice game. The account held a rare car. In order to win the contest a player had to steal the car off the account and received a price. Back then the prize was a little over thirty million, 691 points and Colorado Keno. With the current economy the Buzz is of course aware that these prices need to be upped, not to worry.

Our Grand Theft Mania contest will have the simular set up as the previous one. Testaccount3 will be placed in a statistics crew and will be holding a rare car, possibly alongside many other cars. The lucky player who steals the rare car will win the Grand Theft Mania and earn himself a stunning $200,000,000! Of course we understand some players are not able to steal cars yet, so this article is only an announcement to start training those grand theft auto skills and get ready for the contest.

Now, of course we want to provide everyone with something to do while training their skills, because a crew needs to be found in order to host the contest. Contrary to the previous contest, this will not be done by a dice game, but in a different way. Upon the release of the Buzz, 5Litre created an account with the rank of Boss. The first crew to find and kill this account will receive the honor of being host for the Grand Theft Mania. Now, some of you might think, “Interesting, Mika. Very interesting, but how would we do that?” Well, I will be releasing several hints that will allow you to find the account. A new hint will be released until the account is found. Crewmembers are encouraged to work together and use their collective knowledge to find the account. On top of that, the crewmember that is successful in killing the account will receive $75,000,000 as a reward.

Apart from that, crewless players might wonder if or how this concerns them. Rest assured, the Buzz also cares about you, because crewless players also have a reason for wanting to find out what account the crews are looking for as the first player who submits the correct account name in a “Contest Entry” will win $50,000,000. And who knows, perhaps crews are interested if you beat them to finding the account! Both crewmembers and crewless players are eligible to participate in this part of the contest.

So, in a nuttshell:
  • Crews that wish to host the contest need to find a hidden Boss account and kill it, the killer will earn $75,000,000 for the deed.
  • All players are encouraged to find this same account and submit its name in a “Contest Entry”.
  • The first player to send in the correct name will be awarded with $50,000,000.
  • Players are only allowed one submission, if multiple submissions are sent in by the same player only the first one will be taken into account.
  • The account needs to be found using hints that are released at least every 48 hours.
  • The contest will commence upon the release of the Buzz after the account has been killed, the related crew will be filled in before then.
  • As for crewless players who want to kill the account, I would reccomend not to.

This article will be concluded with the first hint. Good luck to everyone!

Hint 1: The account bears a name that has been used several times in history, but the place, person, animal or thing that beared it was different every time.

Vague? Rest assured, as time progresses the hints will become more clear and will make it far more easy to find the account.
