Out of Business! IShallPersevere

The first to fall in a flurry of wipes carried out by Event Horizon (EH), Strictly Business (SB) once again dropped from the stats for the third time in a matter of weeks. This came after EH began its shooting by taking out many casino owners. After the original shootings, many predicted the sound of gunfire would cease and Bootleggers would become silent once more. EH’s members had other ideas, opening fire in the direction of SB, wiping it from the stats in relatively little time. The Buzz spoke to Mags, council member of EH, and orchestrator of the attack.

The reason for shooting the casino owners had been made clear previously by Mags. He and the rest of EH’s members were sick of criticism that they were incapable of doing anything. However, was this also the reason for shooting SB? Apparently not, as Mags told us, “We started the shootings because basically we got word that jcormier01 was going to be shot for shooting 1 of their casino holders. I think it was criss.” Clearly appreciating the possible strength of SB, EH looked to act quickly and prevent the death of its members by catching SB off guard. Appearing to succeed, only losing two of their members to the entire crew of SB, EH must surely regard this as a successful attack. Any crew wipe however does not come cheap, and as Mags told us, “Bullets - A few hundred thousand maybe.” These were all bought by both the members and State Dons who occupy the EH spot. As it confirmed earlier in the week no points had been converted to bullets for the shootings.

After such a shooting, we wondered if EH had now established itself as an enemy of SB. When asked if EH’s members would once again open fire if SB was to return to the stats. Mags said, “It was fun. I don’t think we would do it again if they were on stats. Maybe we would who knows haha.” From this answer, it may be taken that EH does not regard this as a long-term conflict, however if needed to the crew feels it would be able to act. Be sure to pay attention if SB makes its return to the Stats page. Another question on the mind of the Buzz, was if EH expected SB to retaliate, whether on the stats or not. We put this to Mags, who told us, “Of course we do. Krishhy when shooting back for SB shot Betty and myself. I did shoot Haer though which was annoying. The little idiot should have said who he was running his mouth like a fool. But what was funny was it was me and betty who got shot and we weren’t the ones pulling the trigger so to speak.” Mags is clearly realistic about a possible retaliation attack coming from SB’s members. With underground shooters which have popped up for SB in the past, it is definitely a possibility. However, with the amount of recent shootings between SB and other crews, many wonder if their resources have finally been drained.

EH is clearly ahead in what could prove to be an epic battle between two of the better established crews in this round of Bootleggers. Does Strictly Business have more shooters? Will the crew return to the statistics, and if it does, will Event Horizon have the resources to shoot once again if required? Only time will tell. For now however, happy gaming!
