Issue: 137   Editor: MikaTheGoofball

Hello! I noticed that this ticket has not been updated recently MikaTheGoofball

Say what? That is what some people might have thought as they received a BootMail telling them their ticket had been updated. Another reply in a ticket that has already been taken care of? It would be strange. However, it is not. For with the most recent update to the Help Desk it is perfectly possible for you to receive a reply to a Help Desk ticket you thought had already been attended. Thanks to Sabin, the Help Desk now has its own daemon that takes care of tickets that are still open, but have not been active for quite a while.

Due to the update, Help Desk tickets that have not been replied to for fifteen days will receive an auto-reply from the daemon, requesting the player to close the ticket as the problem has been addressed or to ask any follow up questions if there are any. After that another fifteen days may go by for the creator of the ticket to act or close the ticket manually. If nothing happens, the daemon will automatically close the ticket.

However the update to the Help Desk came with some bugs, of which some still need to be addressed or are being addressed. All of the sudden, every player could get a very small and limited glimpse of what it is like to be part of the Buzz team. By clicking on the Help Desk page, the Buzz Control Panel and Buzz Forum links appear, although they are not functional and will not take you anywhere unless you are actually a Buzz writer.

For at least one player, the effects even outstretched being able to see what our writers see every day. Former Help Desk Operator PuertoRicanPrincess contacted the Buzz, saying, “I see this: Buzz Control Panel, Buzz Forum and High Rollers Forum. I cant acess the links but i can view all the tickets on the hd.” Like all players are requested to do when encountering a bug or glitch, she reported this to the Elite Guard straight away and we hope it will be fixed soon.

All in all a very useful update for the Help Desk, even though it came with some, mostly minor, difficulties. To all of you who encounter problems while using the slightly renewed Help Desk page, please report it in a 'Report a Bug/Glitch' Help Desk ticket so the Elite Guard is made aware. Furthermore, if the bot should visit your ticket then you know what to do and what is actually going on.
