Joint Operations: EL and EH Iditarod

It has been a tough week for almost every crew that is currently allied with The Syndicate. After losing their powerhouses (State Dons and the Nation Don), follow up attacks followed, resulting in more death and even the loss of some crewspots, even though this loss did not last long. Virtual Reality (VR), The Invisibles (TI) and the boot camp edition of the last crew found themselves under attack by a joint effort of Event Horizon (EH) and Eternal Labyrinth (EL). The shooters of these two crews managed to take over Virtual Reality and The Invisibles: Boot Camp by the use of insiders.

The Buzz got onto the event as soon as we could, however despite our efforts we were only able to get in touch with one half of the shooters, namely BettyB crewboss of Event Horizon. She confirmed what we had already expected: The attack had been aimed at the allies of The Syndicate. “The crews who were targeted are all crews who are being controlled (through fear or some other measure) by The Syndicate,” she told the Buzz. Adding, “They are allowing themselves to be used as pawns by The Syndicate.” She confirmed that this was indeed a joint operation, as the shooters consisted out of a mixture of both Eternal Labyrinth and Even Horizon shooters, also including some close friends of EH. Reason for the attack? “To show that even though you can’t see us, we are still here,” BettyB said.

Of course this deed of aggression screamed for revenge, which followed swift. Both the Nation Don and the State Don that insided Virtual Reality and The Invisibles: Boot Camp were quickly shot. This meant good news for VR as Suzpaz, the player who managed to get his hands at the vacant crewspot, returned it to the crew that had originally owned the spot. With the Nation Don being the only member left in the old VR spot, his death meant that it dropped and Suzpaz was the lucky player to 'pick up' the spot. With Eternal Labyrinth still holding the spot that was previously owned by the sub-crew of TI there was still work to be done. The spot was eventually taken over and is now in the hands of 5aloood who renamed his crew into Wish Master and appears to be under the protection of TI.

When asked for a response about the shootings, Himmel said, “4 accounts from the main Crew, a bunch of Boot Camp recruits, though we caught the shooter part way through, so many of us lived with 1% health,” to which he added, “I think EH and EL are giving it everything they've got right now, I am not afraid, shooting/being shot at is awesome, it gives the Crew something to do.” While this is of course true, there might be something to worry about in the future as it is always possible to get wiped. Nevertheless, as crazy as TI is this will probably be liked and its members will be given even more to do.

Whether or not there will be need to do more remains to be seen, however BettyB did tell the Buzz there was more to come as she said, “Of course there will be more action.” In this case, the targets will not be up to one crew, but two. Betty said, “The operation was joint in that there was more than one crew involved. There have been a few pre shoots leading up to today that other crews have completed.” Of course there is also a 'team' of crews that support The Syndicate, leaving us with a struggle between alliances. Betty concluded her interview by telling us, “
It was great fun hearing the rumors, having people come to me asking if and when shooting would happen, knowing that people were actively looking for insiders in their crews. Had us quite entertained, almost enough to put the shooting off a few more days.” She added, “One last thing, for you people who are going to keep shooting me, the least you could do is offer up a new name in exchange!”

More to come. It seems the war that is going on is far from over. The targeted crews are still firmly in the saddle and still have control of bullet factories which earns them a lot of bullets without having to work hard to get them, but they are visible (despite the crewname of TI suggests otherwise) and can thus be targeted. It seems this has just begun, and that this story, is far from over.
