The Pro's/Con's of a State Don whitestar

There are 9 out of 9 State Dons as of right now and all the spots have been filled. No one, from thus forward, can become a State Don unless one is promoted to Nation Don, or they are killed. Because of this, many players will never be able to experience how it is to be a State Don and must live vicariously to the lucky ones who have.

I asked 4 State Dons, Wanderer, Grace, SilverBlade and Confectionary, their opinions about the State Don hitlists and what they liked and disliked about being a State Don.

Their opinions on the State Don hitlists where all the same. All of them think they have been done by jealous players and where useless however SilverBlade also said, “The hitlisting of State Dons for loads of money is a great way to get money out of the game it seems. The bounties were bought off rather quickly and a lot of hard earned cash was wasted in the process.”
Grace added, “The S.D hitlists were pointless. I wouldn’t say it was jealousy but more attention seeking. A jealous person would of went out of their way to kill people, then receive the attention,“ which is also an interesting theory.

Then, what do our 4 State Dons like and dislike in particular? Wanderer and Confectionery said they liked the 5 minute search best. SilverBlade had several things he liked. “It gets you into contact with lots of other players. At first, there are those who congratulate you on reaching the position. Next, there are the people who are jealous and threaten or try to. And last but not least, there are some people who offer to pay to get other people killed. The problem is: they don't understand that killing as a state don might be more expensive compared to a normal player. If someone wants to take revenge for a kill I make, he/she gets to shoot my bodyguards as well. That places some responsibility for other people on me that normal players do not have, because they stand alone in the event of being shot.” And last but not least Grace, found it more of an honor then fun to be on of the first State Dons.

Of course State Dons must have something they dislike about their position. They make a good target, but are protected by bodyguards in an attempt to prevent them from getting shot. “Some people tend to think I am arrogant now I am State Don,” said Grace. The only thing wanderer dislikes about being a State Don is that he lost his busting skills.

State Dons have to rely on their friends to be their bodyguards which is a great deal to ask from them. In the event of a shooting they are killed so that you can keep your rank and whether or not they want to state it, that has to put some pressure on their shoulders.
