Beyond The Reset CitizenErased

When a reset was announced last round, the Bootleggers community was indeed delightful to hear the news. You could sense the great degree of excitement the players had and the potential for the game to get a breath of life in it again, especially after it suffered months and months of negligence.

So now that we have a reset the real question is, what's next? What does this game need to keep it alive? We are seeing the admins busy fixing bugs and adding minor features but are those small additions enough? Unfortunately, the new updates this game had do not add up to the gameplay at all - Bootleggers is in great need of major features and updates.

The features that I'm talking about need to be more 'mafia' oriented as sometimes we tend to forget that we are playing a mafia game. Such features would be a larger integration of crews - afterall, a crew should be much more significant than just a name on the stats page and a crew forum. Another addition would be the territory conquering map, where crews would compete over territories and lands, possibly leading to a war.

I, and I'm pretty sure anyone else, could suggest many more features which would have a real significance to the game but one has to wonder, is the current staff of admins capable of implementing such a challenging job? Or is Bootleggers in need of a new staff of programmers? Will we ever get that mafia feel back to this game again? Only time will tell.
