Casino - High max or High price Irrad

Is it just me or do most casino owners not own their table for profit anymore, but for the status and the ability to write 'Owner of ...' on their profile? I thought the point of having a casino was to make a profit from it and you don't get profits from $10 maxes all the time, you just get a loss of respect.

If I could own a casino I would make the maxes high so I could gain those profits, then I would sell it on and invest in something new. Some people who have the means to, buy casinos for a cheap prices, hold them for a while and often with a very low max to minamize any loss, then they sell the casinos for a profit.

I'm not having a moan at all the casino owners with low maxes, some keep their max bets low for reasons understandable such as they are not online and may not be able to check the progress of the table - but it seems to me that more players are holding casinos for the sake of having one and not trying to make a profit from how they are meant to be used.

Obviously there are players who do own casinos for profit, such as slot owners. Some keno owners; i.e. RedHarry, Warlock and Hsh to name a few and finally there are players you try and gain profit from their casino's so that they can expand the amount of properties they own: players like Levice.

It seems to me that the players who run their casino's for profit seem to do better in the long run than those who own it for the title. So why don't more players take the risk?
