Believe the Hype -- Boot Radio iRetributei

Many of us have hit the stage, where by playing Bootleggers, we find that many of its features have become boring and monotonous. We find ourselves doing the same tasks, over and over, day in, day out. Whilst for a ranked scum, crimes are most important, for those higher up the ladder, who are forced to do such activities to rank, things begin to distort. Boredom kicks in.

I was having the same trouble and found that I was searching through endless editions of the Buzz or listening to old versions of the BootCast, just for some entertainment and whilst it did offer some, it just wasn't enough to feed my desire for entertainment.

Why is BootCast not a live show? Why can listeners not interact with it? So rather than send a string of BM's to BL staff and other unsuspecting unfortunate users to fall upon my rant, I created something.

www.BootRadio.com

BootRadio is a live stream, meaning it is basically an online radio station. Users connect to our server and host their own shows, full of music, competitions, prizes and much more.

We opened on the 6th of May and since then, have had over 5000 unique hits on the website and reach over 20 listeners on most shows.

In the beginning, there was myself, iRetribute, and the head DJ LostWitness, however, the staff team since then has grown into a fantastic group.

Our team consists of users that you already know, and love (or don't). Nyxxie, Sabin, Air, 5litre, and Annihilation are just some of the DJ's you may already recognize.

Shows are now beginning to broadcast almost every hour of the day, so there is always someone on air.

Listeners can interact by sending in shout outs, or request a song, and works much like any normal radio.

There is nothing to download, merely visit the website, press play, and tune in. Or, you can play it using Winamp or Windows Media Player by pressing File, Play, URL and placing "shout-host.com:8036" into the slot!

We've given over 200 points away so far in competitions, and there is much more of that to come.

Saturday 26th/Sunday 27th May are dates to remember.

On those days, we will be releasing our version 2 website and radio.
The new website looks amazing, coded entirely in flash, and for those running on a lower spec. P.C., with a HTML option.

We are running from 9AM BL time on the 26th, to 9AM BL time on the 27th, 24 hours of shows, guests, interviews, prizes, and a lot of fun.

Finally, we have a topic in the Off Topic forum with over 6000 replies, the longest thread in Bootleggers History.

So get on the site, tune in, and contribute.
It's all for your entertainment.

Believe the hype...
