Welcome Back Stryfe JustDrew

When I first started writing for the Buzz a couple of months ago I kept asking myself if I was sure that I could do it. It’s not a hard job, but with so many talented writers it couldn’t be easy to find an interesting story or game issue every week could it? This question was quickly answered with my first official article, in issue 20, being about a Moderator named Lotus who was removed from the Elite Guard.

Most of you have heard of Lotus A.K.A sk0116. He was appointed as a Moderator in August of 2005. He remained in this role, even working his way up to the Senior Moderator position, until that week of my first official Buzz article. The reason he was removed was due to inactivity. With the demanding responsibilities of being a medical school student, came less and less time for Bootleggers. This prompted to Sabin to terminate his tenure as a Moderator. I was told that if he chose to come back he could possibly be considered for the job again.

That’s exactly what happened this week. With the Elite Guard considering this option over the last couple of weeks, the final decision was made on Wednesday and Stryfe A.K.A Lotus A.K.A. sk0116 was back in green. I spoke to Sabin to get some of this information. He offered a few kind words in regards to the situation saying “It's good to have Stryfe back as a Moderator,” and added “I hope that he does as well as he did last time, and continues to make the Elite Guard proud for a long time to come.”

With that being said, I took a couple of minutes to talk to the man of the hour, who was busy working on help desk tickets. (He’s already closed 79 in just 4 short days) He seemed excited to be back on the job, explaining to me that “I'd like to see the game be as active, fun, and cheating-free as possible,” and added “It still has many problems, which will be resolved in due time.” These king of goals are something that all of us regular players look forward to seeing completed. We all have goals, whether it may be running a crew, joining a crew, or even holding a property. But did he have any personal goals for himself?

“With the amount of effort I've put into moderating, I hope to eventually be considered for a Senior Mod+ status as well,” Stryfe explained to me. We’d like to take this time to say congratulations Stryfe on your appointment back in to the Elite guard and good luck with your goals! We're all anxious to see what you will accomplish!
