Oldest Trick in the Book! Squidee

Just to start off, I would like to say that I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed every single minute of it and had fun with there families and new presents you may have received.

This week, we've seen people trying to scam other players and trying to get into each others accounts but VooDooDoll made everything clear in the long run, giving most players a understanding that it was all fake and someone was trying to access there account or scam money.

Wednesday 26th December: (Boxing Day)
Numerous BM's(Bootmails) was sent during the 26th December asking to join a site and get free points or free money. I have a original sample of one of the BM's but I have edited out the link to the scamming site and I also edited the users name.

That quote was a message sent to hundreds of players within minutes and the people behind the messages had set up a site to try and get people to enter the Usernames and Passwords to their BL (Bootleggers) account giving them full access to your account leaving them your money, points, cars and stuff worth value to them and also changing your password so the only way to get your account back is going to Lost Password section on the Home Page but by the time you find out you've been hacked and retrieve the password, the scammer will be long gone with your cash or valuables, it's like stealing a car in real life, they take everything. All the players caught sending these messages were caught and banned. Later that day, VooDooDoll made a topic in the Game Forum on how to stay away from being scammed and general stuff on how to prevent from being scammed by other players. Common scams are people who make topics called First to Send in the game forum. The point of that game is the first person to send the topic creator the amount they say will get there money double but no, as a matter of fact. You won't, there are people that will take your money so if you don't trust them, don't send your money to them. On other ways to prevent being scammed refer to VooDooDoll's sticky in the Game Forum.

As clearly stated by VooDooDoll's topic you can avoid ways of being scammed of your valuables.

I hope this helped you now and you should remember, I wish you all a good week and stay safe on BL and real-life.
