Just Another Manic Monday DeuceAlmighty

The year of 2007 ended with a bang here on Bootleggers, in what I like to call another manic Monday. For many players, they are left wishing it was last Sunday. TrustedBanker, one of our state dons would close out the year with a rampage bringing a variety of mixed emotions all across Bootleggers.

At the end of the day, the list of kills set at 161, including the Nation Don known as Welshie. I was told that 2,250,000 bullets were used to accomplish this. A conversation with TrustedBanker also informed us that all of the bullets were bought with his personal bullet factory. So with 161 dead players, what exactly was the cause of this?

The first target appeared to be casino owners. “I've always wanted a "Manual" Reset of the states page, ever since the previous reset,” TrustedBanker explained to me, also adding that rest of the kills were done, “as a favour to an old friend. But mainly as a thank you for helping me keep my account alive after some people were after killing it cause a State Don might be bad for their health.”

With a genuine motive and a full list of kills, we were left to wonder who this friend that he was talking about was. One early rumor that spread said he was working with a member of The Supremacy. This was quickly denied by both parties with TrustedBanker stating “I could say yes to stirr some mess and action in the BL community, or maybe direct it Rev's way for killing me,” he explained adding that “my answer is no, I wasn't working with either of them.”

I continued on with this theory and spoke to Pannu, a boss of The Supremacy. I got pretty much the same response there. According to Pannu, “TrustedBanker was not funded by The Supremacy. Though, it would make this story a hell lot more suspenseful.” He was also kind enough to add one more interesting statement in regards to the situation saying, “He also did shoot some TS members so he wouldn't be much of a hired killer.”

With this idea ruled out we were still left to find the friend responsible for helping this happen. We had the answer very shortly, as Jker came forward and spoke to one of our writers via MSN. It was apparent that he had helped in this and even sent $90,000,000 to TrustedBanker to fund the shootings. So why exactly was he behind some of the shootings? What was his purpose in all of this?

“I wanted some kills done sometimes in the 2008 new years because I was quitting and wanted to make a impact before leaving,” Jker explained to our team, also adding that he had “supplied him with 1million 296 thousand bullets, i don’t how much he used.” With answers to our questions, this story appeared to be finished. Not all of the victims seemed to be satisfied. A selection of them complained in the game forum that they had no reason to be killed, or even stated they wouldn’t mind dying for a reason.

With this situation we said goodbye to the year of 2007, one which brought us a lot of new ideas and features. We also welcomed 2008. What will it bring us on Bootleggers? Only time will tell
