Gender-Based Ranks? Nyxxinator

It's the age-old question many female players bring up on the forums on a continual basis. Is this game geared towards male players only?! According to ClassyGirl, it is. On March 4th, a topic was brought up by the female player after she had been promoted to the rank of Hitman. "How about You have been promoted to Hitwoman! Keep on going," asked the female player.

It brought a lot of debate to the forum that day, as it does every time the idea is brought up. Why isn't the ranks changed based on the gender of the player? "Hitman is a position not a gender," stated Help Desk Operator, Takamine in a retort against the angered female.

And rightfully so. Hitman is a position, such as a Bartender is. Just like a Bartender, a Hitman can be male or female. However, for those select positions where gender does play a role in the position (example: waitress/waiter, actor/actress), should this be the case too?

"When we post jobs nowadays, we refer to them as journeyman/woman, legislated by government," stated ClassyGirl to back up her idea of changing the ranks to be gender-classed.

The game has been running for close to five years now and if gender-class based ranks were going to be put into play, they probably would have already, but is this in our near future?

Could there be Hitmen/Hitwomen and (Legendary) Godfathers/ (Legendary) Godmothers? For that to happen, each player (upon registration), would have to choose their gender so the script would work correctly. "Separating the genders up into their own gender-based rank could also be a reason for women to feel segregated," stated a female player who asked to remain anonymous for this article.

There are many sides to this story and only time will tell if we will one day live in a Bootleggers World were Hitmen and Women roam the streets, gun in bloodied hands.
