Return of WHG JamesDean

This week we welcome the Winter Hill Gang back to the stats page. Most of you have seen them here before, and then again, and then again and maybe even another time or two. Much like the energizer bunny, they keep going and going and going… For those of you wondering who the newest addition is, I’ll give you the history through my eyes, as a founding member. I’d also like to add that Franchise was not around and the current Co-Boss Gusto, was drunk and not in the shape for an interview at the time of this being written (only in WHG right?).

At the end of the last reset, Franchise, myself and a few others decided to make some changes. We wanted to retire the Angels Of Death and make something new. After an agreement, WHG was chosen as Franchise is from Boston, Massachusetts, the home of the actual Winter Hill Gang. Basically they are a bunch of Irish-American and Italian-American mobsters from the Winter Hill neighborhood of Somerville, Massachusetts. Ok, back to this epic history novel…

Most of the AOD members followed us over and we begin the new round with a simple goal, get ourselves on the stats page in an official spot. In January of 2007, just three months into the reset, the goal became a reality as the first fifty of us entered our new spot, putting WHG on the stats page. Over the next few months things were pretty successful as we grew even larger, filling a one-hundred member crew spot. A few council changes were made and the crew seemed happy. So when does this get exciting you ask? What about the shootings?

In July, just a few days shy of their six month anniversary, the first attack took place on WHG. Members of The Syndicate were responsible, making a few kills and hard kicking the rest of the members. They then emptied the crew bank and sold the crew to Karma, a Co-Boss of Apocalypse and former WHG member. Yes, the crew was given back and it was time to move forward and rank back up. This plan seemed to work out nicely for two months.

In late August, WHG was taken over not once, but twice in the same week. The first takeover came at the hands of The Black Out and was fairly simple. The holder and successor were shot, the crew fell to a high ranked insider. A boss of TBO was planning to give the crew back but instead WHG opened fire, killing everyone involved and taking their spot back. To keep things interesting, Daisy who was then holding the crew decided to keep it for herself and again the members of WHG had to regain control of their spot. Now back to that whole peace thing, right?

Just one month later, in the last week of September, WHG was once again taken over for the fourth time of the reset. This time the takeover didn’t involve and enemy, insider or even more then one kill. For this time it was a group of frustrated, yet original WHG members who were unhappy with the direction the crew appeared to be headed in. Franchise was shot, allowing myself and three Co-Bosses to form a new crew known as The Four Horsemen. Short lived, I know…

The crew would then remain in the shadows for a while. After five and a half months in these shadows, they made a return to the stats page on March 9th, 2008. In their new spot, given to them from Resistance, they had a good week. For some reason the Buzz didn’t write and article on this so I’ll have to continue my history lesson without help. As I recall, The Enclave and The Rapture were responsible for this attack. Having previously shot the Bosses of The Deadly Knights, they were already searched. The shootings were quick and WHG came out with the spot again. They would then get shot for a second time by a player named thesyndicate and back to the shadows they went, with new ideas…

In the last 3 months, leading up to this return, the WHG council has changed, and a lot of older members have returned. Details of the acquirement are not fully known but hey, they purchased the spot from The Rapture so what more do we need to know right? The crew forum is still just as spontaneous and unpredictable as always, but the members are peaceful and hoping to stay a little longer this time. We can’t predict the future of the crew or their new home but we can wish them the best! To the members of WHG, welcome back to the stats page! We wish you the best.
