Reset? EssKayWhy

In the past few weeks a mass of “Reset” topics have appeared on the Game Forum. There are main four reasons why people have started to make topics like these, which are listed below in order of validity.

1. They’ve lost all their cash gambling, or they’ve been banned and lost a shed load of points, and want to start over so that everyone has the same disadvantage they have. This just isn’t fair on the other players. Most resets come when a huge bug has been found and fixed, but it has affected the game in such a way that a complete reset is the only way to fix it. Resetting the game just because someone lost some money isn’t fair, so it’s not a valid reason for a reset.

2. They are bored, and want to stir the pot a bit, or want to get hitlisted, in which case they should be strung from the e-neck and left to e-hang, or banned, you know, whatever. This is not a valid reason for a reset either.

3. They find the fun of a round to be in the beginning, when everyone is vying for control, for example, first to be L. Don, first to be S. Don, first to pick up a Bullet Factory, first Crew to be created, etcetera. This is a valid reason, but not everyone shares the same feeling, and a reset wouldn’t be fair on them.

4.As mentioned above, huge bugs. Nasty things; squish them quick and minimize the damage they cause. If the damage is too great, a reset is the only cure. Much like how death is the only cure for life. This is the most valid reason for a reset.

As we all know, resets are announced on BSF2000’s profile, so by simply looking there you can deduce whether there is in fact a reset due. A counter is usually placed on the Game Forum in an Important topic, predictably entitled “Reset”. If none of these can be found, there’s no reset. And there isn’t really a need for one. Yet.
