Stock market - Needs an update? Conquest

Well, hardly anyone uses the stock market anymore as it doesn't give tremendous amounts of profit. Only the first timers would use it to gain little money. So this leads to my question: IS it time for the stock market to have an update?

Well I made a topic on the game forum and ehre were some of the good ideas that came through:

NYX2000: Bear/Bull Markets. More static and crazy. Bankrupcy's, new stocks, stocks being able to split to double your profit.

CruelGuard: Stocks should be worth more/you should be able to buy more.
- The market should go up and down depending on players actually buying and selling

Sandacane: Greater increases in profit margins, being able to purchase more shares in companies and a few more companies to invest in would be a good place to start

Mikamon Going bankrupt wouldn't be a bad idea. If you want to make the stock market more real, you should remove the safety, the idea that it doesn't matter that stocks drop because they'll raise again eventually. Increase the value of the stocks a bit and people could really make money with it.

But, on the other hand, you should realize who actually use the stock market the most: Lower ranks who need money. When I started, I gained money using the stock market. The SM is a good way for starters to earn money. Doing this update would make it a lot harder for them. So I think that if an update like this is done, something new should be added for starters to make money. My idea for that would be to introduce new stocks which meet the criteria (they can go bankrupt etc.). That way the SM will be a safe way for starters to make money and for richer players to actually take some risk and earn money.

Hasty: I like the idea that areas of the Stock Market could be owned by crews or players. I think it would be nice if a game like this, set in the 1930's, could also implement something in reflection of the famous Stock Market 'crash', also known as the 'Great Gepression' of 1929 - where conspiracys later arose that false rumours were started spawning the liquidity situation that resulted in profiting International Bankers.

Implemented into a game like this, rivals of specific Stock owners (being crews or players) could start similar rumours (after a small common drop) that shares would begin rapidly falling and all those that invested should worry and withdraw, further causing a crash. Or if a large group of players wanted to, they could invest to begin with and then all withdraw at the same time - further casuing a significant drop to aid in making such rumours sound convincing.

This could be the pinnacle of an 'idea' that could prevent the need for future resets due to the rise in inflation!

How about that for a sense of imagination.

Well, I think some of these are great ideas, and if you have any ideas please post them into the topic named "Stock Market".

Thanks for reading!
