Issue: 15   Editor: Mika

Editors note Mika

Welcome to issue 15 of the Bootleggers Buzz!

A day exploited by money hungry organizations or an actual opportunity to spend a special day with that very special person to show them how much you love him or her (as if you would not show that on other days, but hey!) . Either way, it is Valentine's Day, and my apologies for that awful rhyme. A day to send a card or do something else to show your affection for a special person.

Affection of which Evocati showed to two crews, but not by sending cards or romantic Bootmails. No, the crew opted to send some bullets instead. Silent Assassins and Peace Union were both shot, one crew was wiped, the other insided. Valentine shootings appear to be annual, or well, nearly annual, and we at the Buzz were happy to see this year did not miss out on its share of Valentine's Day death.

Another crew that bit the dust, prior to Valentine's Day, was The Varangian Guard. Klere and Save the Whales decided it was time to end this crew its stay on the statistics. At least for now. The wipe was successful and it was not that long before the statistics could welcome Save the Whales and parted with The Varangian Guard.

It is not all horror and death in this issue of the Buzz. A fourth crew that disappeared from the statistics this week was Mobb Figaz. This time, however, bullets and violence were not the reason. Instead, Evap had decided it was time to retire his crew, at least for the time being. So he sold the spot, said his goodbyes and took Mobb Figaz to the underground world, where its members did not have to come up with a daily $500,000 to support the spot.

What more do we have for you this week? Nyxxie wrote a column that gives some insight in Valentine's Day itself, and Frick got deeper into a crew in 'Crew of the Week'. Then we also have a new segment lined up for you, 'Out of Context', which features quotes our writers encountered in the forums. While the posts were not that strange in the respective threads they look... funny once you put them down out of the blue. Of course we cannot miss out on our other weekly segments, so 'The Weekly Flash', 'Bootleggers Game Statistics' and the 'Buzz Comic', edited by Nyxxie, are all there, alongside the 'Buzz Sound Off' which has returned. Feel free to continue the discussion about the subject in the article comments section of the Sound Off.

If you would like to become a Bootleggers Buzz writer then feel free to submit an application article on a recent game event via the 'Application' option on the bottom of this page. 30 Crews, This is Madness! Aldarion

Madness?! THIS IS SPARTA! Although keeping an army going in the age of the Spartans, even if it was a virtual one, was harder than it is to own a crew on Bootleggers at this moment. Because, according to Aldarion, getting a crew nowadays is easier than breathing. And does it get more easier than that?
