The Crime Issue Frick

Over the past few weeks, and maybe even months, players have been complaining to the staff to fix about the crimes, and how long it takes them to max out. The Buzz spoke to several members of the Bootleggers community and asked them to voice their opinion, as well as speaking to 5litre, a Bootleggers administrator.

"I suppose the crimes could be a little bit better," said Johnson on how he felt about the crimes, later adding, "but the payouts certainly could be worse, and have been. Of course, I'm only Godfather so I'm not speaking for all crimes, as I'm only doing those with at least 75% chance of success, but I do a fair amount almost every day and can't say I am really let down so far." Another player, named JensenDK said, "The time that crime takes is fine, it requires both time, and effort to get through the ranks. The issue is not the crimes as they are now, its the time it requires to get to Money Curiour. Having a lot of money in the game, but only the higher ranks being able to get in all the cash just seems wrong."

Next, we asked Indos, JensenDK and DiscoFreak how they felt about the crimes taking so long to max out. Indos simply said, "Annoying, very annoying." DiscoFreak replied, "Well, I would like to see a little bit of a change as I think it takes a long time to max out. But I wouldnt say anything major, as it should stay more realistic. You dont gain money too easy in life, so why should you on a game?" JensenDK went into more detail, saying, "It's really some bullshit, I believe the ones putting a lot of time into the game should have an advantage. But spending few hours a day ranking by doing crimes, is also a lot of time of your daily life. But you never reach Money Curiour, at least not for way too long time."

We then asked them what they would like to say to BSF. Johnson answered, "I'd thank him for the update, and tell him I hope he balances it soon. Though of course it's quite understandable that it takes time, as he needs to precisely hit the sweet spot. Google didn't have the great search results it has now from the start, and still improves the formula. Same goes for this, I think, in some way and at least on a smaller scale, of course." JensenDK said, "I never see any activities from BSF, is he even live?! But pull it down to around 10.000 successful crimes. That is more than 300 hours you have to spend on doing successful crimes, if you do a crime every 2 minute."

After speaking with players, the Buzz decided to turn it up a notch. We got in touch with 5litre, and asked him about the issues with the crimes. He stated, "When we implemented the new crimes, we wanted to bring more crimes to the game, making them more of a major part in it, whilst giving players something more to do. I'm not sure whether the crimes were intended to take so long to max out, however, we are looking into it at the moment, and there may be change in the future. Currently, we are looking at how many crimes it takes to max out a certain crime, making it more reasonable for players old and new. Lastly, I would like to say to the players that we are very aware of the issue, and we are looking into it. Hopefully it won't take too long to fix!"

This confirms that the Elite Guard have been looking into things the players have been complaining about. The Buzz would like to thank to thank Johnson, JensenDK, Indos, and DiscoFreak for letting us interview them, and to 5litre for providing us, and the Bootleggers community with a statement.
