New Crew: The Myrmidons IShallPersevere

The first week of a new round had passed, and the second was to bring a flood of new crews to the statistics page as many users hit the rank of Boss. It would see new and old names make their presence felt. The third crew to appear was The Myrmidons (TM), a new name to the Bootleggers community. We spoke to one of the Bosses of the crew, AbuRagheb, to see what was planned for the crew and how it had come about.

The first thing we sought an answer to, was if it had been planned prior to the rest that The Myrmidons would be coming to the stats. AbuRagheb told us, “I've always been the on stats kind of a guy.” Of course referring to several crews he had run in the past including the previous round, he continued saying, “Though I didn't exactly plan on returning the way we did, we just went with each day as it came.” Perhaps then it might not have been planned, but AbuRagheb always knew he would be joining the list on the stats page at some point.

Previous rounds had seen AbuRagheb’s crews involved in many shootings and their fair share of action. We wondered if he thought these rivalries and enemies would carry over to this round. He told us, “One way or another, shootings will happen, whether it was from old enemies or new ones.” Clearly feeling shooting is inevitable at one point, going on to say, “But from old experience, things change, your enemies become your friends and your friends become your enemies, especially with a new round. Many have already chosen their sides, and will stick with that side for a while.” This may also be an indication that at the start of the round crews and bosses will do whatever it takes to make their mark early in the round, whether this be through joining up with previous enemies or not.

The first week had also seen all of the Bullet Factories (BFs) being snapped up within a day of each other. We wondered what influence the BFs would have on the success of the crews who were lucky enough to own them. His answer did not disappoint, as he said, “Well, it depends on the side which owns the BF. But there will be changes in the owners of those BFs, nothing will remain the same in a month or so. You can never know what happens, we might end up with one or more BFs sooner than expected.” Clearly an indication that Aburagheb believes there will be early actions. It may even be seen from this answer that his crew will be shooting to acquire its own properties!

Next thing that was on our minds, was what affect, if any, AbuRagheb felt the increased number of crews would have. He answered, “The good active crews will still be rare, the only difference is that people will try their luck with crews, and when many fail to get a good income they will appreciate the hard work put into a good and active running crew.” Clearly referring to the fact that many believe running a crew is a relatively easy task and obviously thinking himself that it is far from that.

That concluded the interview with AbuRagheb. He clearly felt that any early efforts may be short lived, expecting comings, shootings and goings to start within a month. As the statistics page flood gates opened to crews, one can only imagine what will happen. When will the first wipe come? Is your Bullet Factory safe? Only time will tell, but for now, happy gaming!
