Rien Ne Va Plus HowlingMadMika

On April fourth, the Roulette feature received a massive overhaul, including a new physical layout, an animation of the spinning wheel, more options to gamble by the introduction of for instance Corner and Split, and the new Cashier page which requires players to purchase chips before they can place any bets on a Roulette. BSF2000 stated that the cashier would become more useful in the future, as casinos such as Poker and Black Jack would also switch to the new chips system.

Due to the new Cashier system, players are now required to transfer their money into chips before they can play on a roulette table. Although there is a five percent transfer fee when cashing your chips, most players did not seem to be bothered that much by this system. The new system also provides players with the option to convert chips of one type into another. By simultaneously selling chips and buying the same amount of other chips you can convert them. For instance, by selling 100 one dollar chips and buying one $100 chip at the same time, you will convert the chips, this time without the transfer fee being applied.

However, there does seem to be something of a downside to the new chip system as there were those who experienced trouble due to the chips being available only in the state in which they were bought, which means that a player is 'broke' whenever he or she travels. A suggestion to create a nation wide cashier which allowed players to purchase and cash out chips with a 10% fee received support from quite a few.

Along with the chip system comes change for the owners. Instead of having to rely on their on hand money to keep the casino safe, they can now deposit money into the casino. This money will be converted into chips whenever a gambler wins a bet. Any wins the owner makes are added to the amount of money that is currently in the casino, and losses are subtracted from it. An owner can deposit money into or withdraw it from the casino at any given time. However, if the amount of money to pay winners reaches $0, or if the owner cannot afford to pay the winner, then the casino will be given to the winner.

“From the owner perspective it's nice to have more control over the table. It's a improvement not having your casino affect you cash on hand,” AmericanDream, who owned the Louisiana Roulette table at the time, said. “Down side is at the gamblers side,” he added. “It takes way more time to place bets now.” The fact that you cannot see how much money is in a casino was something AmericanDream was not content about either. His fellow roulette owner, KillerBees, did not share this view, however. “In my opinion the new update is a big advantage for the holder to hide his real wealth status thus making it harder for player to guess the real amount of money he got,” he said.

Part of the new Owner Control Panel

He also approved on the new Control Panel which allows the holder to have an extended amount of control over the table, and provides him or her with a list of current gamblers and whether or not they are making a profit. In addition, the new Control Panel allows owners to tweak their casino and give it somewhat of a personal touch. By paying $200,000 they can add a picture as an icon, and for $120,000 they can change the color of their table. If given the chance to change anything, KillerBees would change the time it takes for the wheel to spin, “I think that they should reduce the time needed to place and roll the bet, because it takes more than 5 seconds for player to place and roll a normal bet, that is nearly 5 times more than the old roulette system.”

A casino with a tag upgrade in place

After receiving the feedback, BSF2000 stated that several updates were planned, including the introduction of more additions to the Roulette page, meaning some kind of wealth indication may very well be added in the future alongside other tweaks to the tables. The wheel seems to have stopped spinning. Ladies and gentlemen, place your bets!
