Is It Worth It To Be The First? Joke

As the game dives deeper and deeper into this round, the race to the top becomes faster, tougher, and harder. To play the game, and to keep up in the running for the top rank, means a lot of late nights, and long days on Bootleggers. Although that would be considered fun, or frustrating by many players, many others think of it as impossible to contend with considering everything else in their lives. To others, Bootleggers is their life! It is definitely, however, very interesting to watch how things play out in the beginning!

In the beginning of this round, TFKyle shone through as the top player. With accusations of two people playing that account, as well as many other rumors, he had many people who were jealous of him, and many people wanting to kill him. With 410,000 bullets, he was finally taken out. Before then, he had spent a whopping fifteen days online, only two of those days were spent idle. He had completed an enormous 8,000 crimes! When he was taken out, he got close to a record number of people to comment in his RIP topic in the Game Forum. It was a sad thing to see him die, but it is always exciting to see the action this game is capable of! When asked, Kyle told the Buzz that he knew his death was coming, and he wouldn't be mad once killed, but instead he'll maybe take a little time off, a well deserved vacation from Bootleggers.

At the time of his death, there were fourteen other godfathers in the running. JDM is one of those contenders, but just recently, he became the first Legendary Godfather. The Buzz contacted JDM, and before he was promoted, he was asked how hard he is trying to rank up, he replied, “I'm OCing as often as possible. My crimes are horrible, but I'm trying to make up for that by resetting my timer with keno profits when I can.” When asked what he's doing to make sure he is staying in the running for the top rank, what he was doing to become the first one to Legendary Godfather, he said “I've blown a few thousand points resetting my timers. I'm sure I'm not the only one doing that, but it goes much faster that way...” He knows that since he's now the highest rank, he'll most likely be targeted and shot just like TFKyle, but he said that if he dies, it'll give him someone to shoot back at, something to do! He said that it's worth it to try for the highest rank, “Sure. Points are there to be used. I'm saving enough to gamble properly, and have no real better use for the rest of my points. So why not?”

Is it really worth it to be the first? Is it worth spending countless days online doing crimes to be the first of something when it may even lead to your death? When the Buzz asked players in the Game Forum the majority said that it was. "It is very easy to die, and to lose an account. But to be known by all of the Bootleggers community as the first to reach a certain rank, or first to hold a certain property, well, that's immortal!" MrDeeds said. Many others agreed with him. You probably won't remember who was the first Don in Round 4, but BrownEyes said, “Who cares? It is only ever fun for the moment! Its fun! Kind of like one of the retarded video games, except more interaction with people. Its so worth it!”

Many others disagreed, and said that it wasn't worth it. ArsiniC said, “definitely not worth it; can't erase time with friends and family just to say you're the first.” So obviously, it all matters on just how much you value Bootleggers, and compare that with the other things in life. If you play it as a game, then you're the type of player that is just playing as that, and not taking it too seriously. If you are an addicted player, and actually schedule real life around the times you can OC, then you'll think that it is worth spending days, weeks, and even months online!

In the beginning of every round, there is a scurry to be the "first" of something. Even though, soon into the round it is forgotten, it is thought of a very high achievement to most people in Bootleggers to be the "first". But it is something you can make a name of yourself for, so however you feel about ranking up, and Bootleggers, have fun out there!
