COLUMN: Round 6, The Promised Land xShane

Round six, the promised land for all Bootleggers players. Was it really all it was built up to be? Come in and find out.

The mystical and profound round six. Bringing more updates then you could imagine and returning to its original roots. Wait, what! You mean none of this has happened? Well its ok I got my points selling, they don’t really need it if they are still playing the game and spending money. I think I will go out and spend my easy made cash.

That seems to be the general idea of who BSF2000 is to everyone on the game. I posted the topic on round six in the game forum this week and not one single person had a good thing to say about the round. In fact most people are pretty peeved off by what BSF is doing. The fact he sits there and takes peoples money and does not give anything in return seems to be the problem. It is fair to say that’s what’s happened. You can see it from all that has happened this week. Players quitting is the usual but when the administrator leaves and a one of the two working moderators quit, things are looking bad. A lot of you believe it is down to BSF not caring about the game.

As previously mentioned this round was supposed to be the return to the original Bootleggers. The one that made the game so great and fun. Has it happened? A resounding “NO” is the answer. People feel ripped of by the lack of commitment shown by BSF. Gusto told us, “BSF pulls his finger out his arse and pays someone to do coding on this game.” That is a good statement I believe. When the game had the presence of Sabin or as he is now, “The one who can’t be mentioned.” Players told me we had a better game then as he did coding, fixed bugs and kept active and in touch with the players letting them know what was happening. He kept communication going and ultimately brought trust. We believed in him. Where as now we have not heard from BSF in recent memory. No updates, no talking, no nothing. How can we trust someone who doesn’t talk to us? As Symphonies said, “he could communicate with us, we have absolutely no idea what he's doing, or what he's thinking, you don't gain trust like that.”

People feel betrayed by the lies promised to them. Left out due to the lack of connection with BSF and ultimately just left here with nothing until the end of the game. Change is what we want. Not a new round but we want updates, talking and to be in the loop. We DO NOT want this “Idle - Busy” crap that’s been fed to us. In fact what is “Idle - Busy”? It doesn’t make sense! Your not there but you are busy. Busy spending peoples cash maybe?

What is the solution then? Well two possible outcomes as usual. BSF will pull his thumb out of his aforementioned orifice or the game will die. Simples. I quite frankly am hoping for the first solution, I like it here and if life was brought back that would be awesome in my books. I presume it would be pretty sweet in your books too. However is that going to happen is the question. If I was to base it on what I have seen lately I am forced to say no. Is this the end? Are we all going down? Time will tell. We have a while to go before I write a RIP Bootleggers article. I hope I don't have to.
