New ‘Illegal kill’ Rule vanish

As we have all noticed, a new game rule was introduced in the Game Forum this week. Perhaps the rule is not a surprise for many players, because it contains information about ‘the Elite Guard that will begin to boost the new accounts of players who have been killed by someone who has somehow gained an illegal advantage that lead to him or her being able to make kills, ‘ like it says on the Game Forum topic.

Most of the players know how it feels to be killed. When it turns out that the one who killed you, actually cheated.. That can really hurt, especially for people who had high ranked accounts. That’s why this rule was taken under consideration in the first place: Fair play had to be followed and encouraged. That was exactly the thing the Elite Guard had to break their heads on: How can we encourage fair play?

When we interviewed Mika about this, he told us that Riserva, Zeb and Mika himself started discussing the subject a little over two weeks ago. It was Zeb, who was the one to bring the subject up in the first place, who pointed out how frustrating it is to be killed by a cheater who only loses an account that was meant to be lost. They came to the conclusion that reviving an account is in all cases out of the question. However, it is now possible to get your new created account boosted / reimbursed, but under certain circumstances (, which can be found in the therefore intended Game forum topic). One of those conditions to get yourself boosted, is that your account has to be killed within 24 hours of the killer’s ban. What Mika told us about that statement, is the following : “The 24 hour time limit has been instated because we felt a line had to be drawn somewhere. Obviously it will be used with an open mind. If a player using illegal means goes on a killing spree and is banned then the players killed in said spree will all be reimbursed, even if some of them happen to have been killed 24 hours and ten minutes from the point of the ban.”

Regarding the reactions on the Game forum topic concerning this new rule, a lot of players think this rule is good, but comes way too late.
It is true that most of the ‘illegal shootings’ have been committed already, but it was something that could not be foreseen. The moderators are just people like you and me, and they still try to do what they can to keep the game going and to improve it. This rule will prevent a massive shooting with illegal goods, like in the past, to happen again, and therefore the Mods did a good job. The Mods are doing all they can to improve this game and situation.
The hundreds of topics in the forum saying ‘we want a reset’ can be stopped from now on, and all those people should follow the footsteps of the Mods.

As Mika says, ‘we should look at the future and at improving wherever possible. BSF2000 will have to be the one to mainly do this, but we as Moderators also try to do what we can.’ And so should all the players. Help each other to make this game more alive. To end with these words from Mika: ‘I would like to encourage everyone who feels that they may have been killed by a player who was using cheats to report this player so we can investigate.’
