To Crew or Not to Crew KingSpaff

The whole time I have played Bootleggers, I have witnessed some amazing feats by groups of players. Those who have used intuitive ways to achieve whatever goals they have set for themselves. I know not every player wishes to be a part of a crew, but personally I have always felt a sense of pride when representing my crew mates and friends. I want you to take a look at some of the benefits of being in a Statistics crew and add some ideas to improve their status.

The organization is crucial to a crews success, And being in a Statistics crew you get some great benefits to help you achieve this. While being a boss of a crew the feature to let you see all of your members guns and protection is fantastic. Also the ability to upgrade them helps you prepare for any situation. The crew forum is a fantastic tool that can be used to effectively communicate with all of your crew mates. Its brilliant for warning crew mates about car thieves and setting up Organized Crimes.

Now I will move on to how well you can function to achieve goals within a crew. The obvious way is to shoot to reach your objective, this is where a bullet factory is helpful. Very expensive but if you have one in your crew they are quite possibly the best feature of a crew as you gain a percentage of bullets sold into the crew bank set by the person holding it.

It isn't all great in crews I feel that there are a lot problems. I feel they are too weak to defend at times, I mean you have no protection other than what each player has as their items. The crew tax was useful at one stage but now I feel now it serves no purpose. There is no real help to boost your rank while within a crew differently than what you can do while you are not apart of one.

Now I did have a few ideas to help "Statistics" crews.

  • Crew taxes to be abolished for new crews starting out, a grace period of 2 weeks. so they get a chance to establish themselves and build a crew bank.
  • Make starting a new crew prices fair, make a crew starting at $200,000 holding up to 5 members.
  • To message all members at the same time.
  • Also a way to make money in the crew bank besides Casinos, Bullet factories, Crimes, Donations and Train stations. Maybe crew Organized Crimes where all members don't need to be online to finish them, they will have to accept and pay for equipment though. Give them a separate timer from regular Organized Crime's but half the experience received.
  • Crew Shooting range, with a discounted price but will be used with establishments. So you will need to purchase land to build a shooting range with all money coming from crew bank.
  • Crew Boss being given 1 bodyguard, from the choice of any player in or outside the crew.

I feel that crews can come back strong again and be a very big part of the Bootleggers experience. There is a lot of history in the crews of this game and it is a very interesting part of the game. I do think that the future of Bootleggers depends on them making a swift comeback and being the vocal point of the game again.

Regards Kingspaff.
