Organized Crime, Not so Organized Lately? |

This is another day at Bootleggers. This time, it's all about Failing Organized Crimes (OC)s. Players spammed the game forum with threads complaining about their high ranked OC failing, others complaining about having nothing to do with the failure. We took a deeper view at the matter, here's what we found.
A shortcut has been canceled. The shortcut where you used to choose your equipment then hit the go ready button without executing the buy order manually has been terminated. Now, you are obliged to do it in two moves. The first, you pick equipment and buy it. Then you hit the ready button if you are.
It makes very much sense that some players are just still pressing ready without buying equipment. Which made Sabin announce in the game forum thread concerning failed OCs that: "You now get a warning before accidentally Readying without equipment! If you still do it, it's no one's fault but your own. Thanks!" The fact that the matter has been addressed by Elite Guard may have eased the feelings of angry players, who have to wait 12 more hours before they can OC because they assumed all players know how to get equipment.
One other view to the matter discussed the state of the OC car. Players such as GodFotherV8 are sure it's about the state of the car, or it's "heat". Red cars and Yellow cars are probably more likely to get caught, which maybe a very good reason for players to check their car states before picking them for an OC.
It goes without saying that the car has to be in perfect condition (0% damage) before it's used in the OC. Yet, maybe a player hurried into using a different car than the one he fixed, or intended to use.
The hassle of the leader choosing a higher rank not only to guarantee the OC success but also to make sure he would get more experience has to be amplified now. Leaders have to do a basic job of checking equipment. If you see everyone pressed the ready button, don't assume they really are. Check if they have equipment, and that it's what you desire.
There also have been suggestions by players like NastyJack, who think the state the OC is located at, plays a role. These players wonder if the fact the state they are doing their OC in, is a state a lot of players do theirs at. It remains to be researched, although it's a bit far fetched if the factor is relevant.
