PayPal Purchase |

On the 14th of January, BSF2000 made a Game Forum thread in which he announced players could now buy points using PayPal. By doing so, he granted the wishes of a lot of players who wanted to buy points without sending money via the mail but didn't have a Credit Card, or players who had PayPal as only option for buying points. These players will now be able to purchase their points with the use of PayPal.
Earlier, using PayPal wasn't an option due to their policy which enabled users to have their payment returned to them by stating they hadn't received the goods they had ordered. This 'gap' in their policy allowed a form of fraud. Seeing it concerned virtual goods, goods players didn't physically receive, they were able to get their money returned to them. As it would take some time before Bootleggers noticed this, they would keep their points at first, which allowed them to quickly sell them so they made money. Eventually, the actual buyer of the points would get banned, but the points would also be removed from the game, causing the one who bought them to lose his money and his points.
To prevent this kind of fraud, the option to purchase points through PayPal was removed and is also the reason points need verification nowadays.
However, thanks to an update in PayPal's policy, players are now able to buy points by using it. The Buzz contacted Sabin to get some more information about the new system. The questions we asked him were taken from the Game Forum thread. First of all, he assured us that there was no additional cost for the users when buying points with PayPal. Bootleggers absorbs the cost like it always has, he said. Same as before, points will have to be verified before they can be used. According to Sabin this is the same as before.
In addition, the auto-verification system hasn't been implemented yet. However, according to BSF2000, it will be there soon. In a reply to his own thread, he said, There will be an auto-verification system implemented just as there was before. Loyal customers should not have to wait every time they purchase points. This should be added in the coming days.
However, a bug was recently discovered in the PayPal purchase and thus it has been disabled again. It seems some people bought points but did not receive them. Luckily, BSF2000 has assured everyone these matters will be looked into and dealth with. Hopefully the feature will soon be fixed, allowing more players to buy points. For more points might mean more bullets and thus more action.
