Event Horizon are the first crew this year to be named the Crew of the Week!
Name of Crew: Event Horizon
Past Bosses/Founders: BettyB & Zoltra88
Crew founded: August 3, 2005
Recruitment
Recruiting policy: Recruiting is open to everyone. People with a good application and good vouch are welcomed into Event Horizon. People with a good application but without a vouch go into an underground crew for a probation period of up to one month. If they prove to be good, loyal people during probation then they are 'graduated' or moved to EH.

The Bosses view on the crew
Positive points: The members are by far the most positive thing about Event Horizon. They are helpful towards each other, to new people in the crew and people outside the crew; they are loyal, respectful, friendly, funny and hard working.
Negative points: Members are too dependant on me sometimes. They need to make better use of council members and they are slowly learning to do that. Not enough crew members from North/South American time zones.
The members view on the crew
Positive points: We have a lot of very dedicated players who work hard for the crew. Without them, there is no EH. And of course we have Betty, one of the best bosses in Bootleggers, maybe even the best.
Another positive point is that we have a very good structure in EH, at least thats what I think. - Billieonaire
Number one, two and three is Betty, she holds the crew together and tries to make sure that everybody does their part or they are replaced. Betty makes this a home by making the beds and washing the windows, hence she has a workload that overcomes her sometimes.
Another point is the crew members, most of the members are friendly and try to do their best to make the crew a good place.
Also this crew has very few forum whores that talk their way into trouble and therefore gets minimum unnecessary attacks/trouble.
With a few exceptions this crew runs smoothly and organized. - Addorable
Negative points: I think, like in most crews, we have a few members who can't be bothered to follow crew rules, some are inactive. Oh and we have to many dutchies in here! - Billieonaire

Betty Some members think that she controls too much which bothers them and also she tends to get those mood tantrums that some members have a hard time swallowing. - Addorable
What keeps you in Event Horizon?
Everything I do gets appreciated by the people I care for (which are the active and hardworking members). That's the most important thing. - Billieonaire
Betty. Without her being here I'd have left a long time ago.
Also I've noticed that old members that were active in the crew and participated in running it tend to come back when they've tried something else. - Addorable
Writer's comments:
After spending almost two and a half years in Event Horizon in the past, as a member, councillor and as the underboss, it's was my pleasure to award them with the first Crew of the Week award for 2009. I spent five days with them, in that time I didn't learn anything about them that I didn't already know. So Ill start of by saying how awesome the majority of the members are, many have been there along time, same time I was there.
I had many conversations with the members, privately and through the Crew Forum. Whether it be mocking fellow Buzz writer and Event Horizon member, LW about Liverpool's title challenge, or playing games hosted by the Boss of Event Horizon, the forum was mainly active, though does have it's quiet moments.
I must also say, in all the crews I have visited, Ive never felt so at home as much as I did when I was apart of Event Horizon, or even as a visitor. That's because the members, or most of them, are of a highest quality. Mainly because of their recruitment process, as it only brings out the best and most willing people. Event Horizon are also part of a small group of crews on Bootleggers that are seriously established. Only the best do that.
