A 10th State? ABVQv2
It appears the Bootleggers community is longing for a new state. This week, the Buzz saw many comments in the forum topic '10th State'. This sparked the Buzz's attention and we first caught up with Sabin, to get his views on this matter. We got in touch with Sabin and asked him a few questions. In a long conversation about if he ever planned to build the state which he said, “a tenth state is extremely unnecessary and my decision of this will not be swayed by player discussion.”

Our next journey lead us to some reasons as to why the players want this 10th state. “They possibly get annoyed at the empty box on the states page, or due to the fact that 9 doesn't seem a full number whereas 10 does (you have the 10 commandments, 10 ten best things, 10 crimes etc.). And also players always want the game to be better, ” player ItZDayvo proved Sabin’s opinion by saying, “It fills in that gap and it would be great to have it to make the game better.”

After this, we changed the subject towards if he would add the state in 2 or 3 years time, he believed this could happen but not in the foreseeable future, and only due to extra missions or establishment usage, but also many players don’t want this state. Like RightGuard, who said, “a 10th state? Bad move, we need less states to increase these poor casino prices, I remember when a roulette was 500 odd points.”

So, the Buzz decided to ask some moderators and normal players the same question, do we really need a 10th state? We asked the moderators, Nyxxie and VooDooDoll what they thought about it. If we are going to have one it has to be special, different from the rest, visited VERY rarely due to lack of trains going there, there should be a MAJOR pro,” but VooDooDoll said, “It doesn’t bother me, so I don’t care whether or not it is added. I don’t see how it could hurt anything.”

Then we asked another Buzz writer, IAmAldarion, what he thought about the idea. He said, “To be honest, I wouldn't really mind whether a tenth state was to be added or not. However, I haven't seen one single proper reason to add a tenth state. Therefore, I'm inclined towards disagreeing. I mean, just a tenth state because it looks more complete? Perhaps 25 crews look more complete as well, perhaps 10 admins look more complete as well. Does that make things better? No.”

Even though the majority of the players wants a new state, the admins stated that they don’t want it. So, for now it seems like we are not going to get one, whether that is bad or good we might never know.
