In this segment, you will be given a weekly topic to debate about. You will have the chance to post your opinions, comments, criticism and ideas on the Game Forum, when the proper official topic is made. The topic is made at a random time during the week to ensure that many players get to eventually voice their opinion!

Next week, 5-10 (depending on how many we get) random opinions will be placed on the Buzz along with a new debate question!

THIS WEEK'S DEBATE!
Due to the ever-increasing amount of Underground Crews, do you think they are needed?



"As a Moderator it really isn't my place to say. Some UG crews can be quite effective flying under the radar by not being on the Stats page and that is the way they intend it to be. I think there are some UG crews that are smaller groups of players that cannot be on the stats page but aim to be. Or maybe not. I dont think the question is as simple as having a 'need'."

"I think that only the type of UG crews are needed are the ones who are serious, powerfull and well organized. When I look at the 'UG crews' that post their recruiting topics on the GF every day I wonder if they really seriously think that by recruiting like that they can create a group of trustworthy members to go onto the stats with. Most of the times these crews also dont have the wealth to do anything.

The underground crews that are needed are the ones like mentioned here before, like resistance etc. They are needed to shake things up, to weaken certain stat crews that have grown to powerfull and to make sure there aren't like three crew who control the game."

"Nothing is really "needed", it is there because it has certain advantages. As for UG crews, they are able to recruit before hitting the stats (if that is what they want to do) rather than wait for a spot and then begin recruiting as they have safety in numbers from the start."

"Underground crews aren't what they used to be. They used to be a group of friends with motives to achieve things, such as taking over certain crews or casinos. Now they are used to make friends. What's 'Underground' about recruiting on the forums publically for members?"

"Bit of an awkward question really. Regardless of the answer, there won't be an end to them. There will always be at least one person who aims to start off his/her own Crew and take it to the top, recruiting UG or on the Game Forum. When coming to an answer, I would say yes, they are needed. It keeps the Game evolving if Crew spots are threatened by UG-shooter crews like The Clericuzio, Club Boogie and The Syndicate. If there was no competition for spots from other types of UG crews that aim to replace long-time on-Stats crews, it would only be for trigger happy State or Nation Dons that would see major Crew shootings. This is of course not to say that shootings would end in Bootleggers because there's still the occasional shooting at the rich or high ranked accounts but it would certainly have a detrimental effect to the amount of action that goes on in Bootleggers."

I believe they are a big part of bootleggers and too answer your question "Are they needed" i think they are. Look at how many throughout the timeline of bootleggers that have made an impact, Now i could name several but i'm not going too. Without going into detail i'll just say without them alot less stats crews takeovers would happen, Alot less stats crews wipes would happen and alot less action in bootleggers would happen.
