Welcome to Bootleggers Buzz Issue 133!
Another week has passed and thus a new issue of the Buzz is released, and what a week we have had! After a few weeks with the 'normal' action the Bootleggers community witnessed one of the greatest forms of entertainment as several crews bit the dust at the hands of The Syndicate. This underground crew awoke from its slumber and released hell upon its targets. The main target of this vicious underground crew was Eternal Labyrinth and alongside that crew came everyone who was allied with it such as Ombra Di Lucifer and Paradise.
The attacks were spread over several days of this week, making sure we at the Buzz had plenty of work to do each day. Luckily most of us are already enjoying their holiday and thus had more than enough time to find out the reasons and report on the violent events that caused death for many. Even at the current moment, The Syndicate still surprised us by attacking and sometimes even wiping a crew that appeared due to another one that perished, or by continueing to attack Eternal Labyrinth members even after the crew had gotten rid its spot and the members were left crewless.
As said, with all the deaths came also new life and new crews. The H.I.L.L Family was fortunate enough to appear on the statistics after purchasing the spot left empty by Eternal Labyrinth, whereas The Syndicate firmly kept its hands on the Ombra Di Lucifer crewspot. The third crew to eventually rise was The Notorious Gangsters. The crew purchased the spot previously owned by Paradise, but sadly found a very early ending as The Syndicate decided that The Notorious Gangsters was not worthy enough to be on the statistics page. The crew was insided and sold and is currently the property of The Revolutionary Guards.
Apart from the crew violence caused by The Syndicate there was also a small shock for 23rd Gunslinger Co. as the crewholder suddenly began to hard kick every single member in the spot. Luckily for the crew the holder was killed and the spot reclaimed, resulting in the quick recovery of 23rd Gunslinger Co..
Despite the fact that crew events are the main source of our issue this week, which is of course logical seeing all the things that happened thanks to The Syndicate, our writers also found the time to interview two more Elite Guard members and concluding the Elite Guard interviews for now. Administrator 5Litre and Senior Moderator Sweetie had the honor of being the last members to be interviewed for this segment.
More signs of this extraordinary busy week are the freelance articles we received, seeing we were pleased to see a grand total of three come in. Now one might wonder, three? Mika, what the hell are you excited about? Well, the answer is simple; we love reading your freelance articles and we are very happy to receive even one, meaning three is a reason for a party. Hopefully you will enjoy them just as much as we did! Keep sending those freelance articles, because it is a very effective way to share your thoughts and opinion with your fellow players.
Of course we also have our usual weekly articles in store for you. 'A Year Back', 'The Weekly Flash' and 'Bootleggers Game Statistics' are up in this issue as well, and we hope you will enjoy them just as much as you usually do.
Finally, those of you who wish to become a writer are encouraged to submit an application article via the 'Application' option in the drop menu below each Buzz. Although our hyperactive search for writers has come to and end, those with talent and a good article might still find themselves being offered the digital pen of the Bootleggers Buzz writer. You might want to give it a try. After all, who knows? You might be talented and thus... lucky! Either way, please have patience after submitting an application, since our very active search is over it may take a while before you receive a reply to your application.
That would be all for the Editors Note of this week. I hope you will enjoy this issue of the Buzz, as we worked very hard to get as much information and articles about all events as we possibly could. Enjoy the read, take care and stay safe!

Return of The Syndicate |
MotherFrick |
|
Over many years, The Syndicate has attacked many people and many crews. However, the crew disappeared long ago, and part of Bootleggers thought it had retired for good. This was never the case, as The Syndicate awake from their apparent slumber every so often to unleash havoc onto the world of Bootleggers.
At the start of this week, we witnessed them wiping three crews: Eternal Labyrinth, Ombra Di Lucifer and Paradise. After this, we then witnessed an unlikely event, The Syndicate kept the spot, returning to the statistics of Bootleggers. The Buzz tried to interview members of The Syndicate, but they completely denied any type of comment.

Notorious Times as the Gangsters Return |
TheTsjMustGoOn |
|
This week saw something akin to musical chairs on the statistics page. One of the crews who ended up with a spot when the music stopped was The Notorious Gangsters. Of course, this crew is no noobie to the statistics page. It has been in and out of underground status a few times before. So what made them rise to the stats this time? We sat down with TNG boss, AaRoNftwBaCkagain.

Not so Eternal Labyrinth! |
IShallPersevere |

This past week on Bootleggers has seen bullets flying left, right, center and everywhere else. It all began as The Syndicate, the crew which does not exist, began to shoot Eternal Labyrinth. The Syndicate had previously made itself known in shootings, with little or no failures, the crew had shown it meant business. The Buzz caught up with GoosyX, boss of The Syndicate, to see what the crew had to say on recent events, and what the crew would be planning next. About 180,000 bullets were already on accounts and then we added in points, somewhere between 17,000 and 23,000, Goosy commented when asked.

TNG Wiped Upon Arrival! |

Late Saturday night, when the Buzz writers were submitting final drafts of articles they had written, another shooting by The Syndicate caused us to pick up our pens and paper and get writing once more. This time, it was recently formed crew, The Notorious Gangsters which fell to the ground. Like previous wipes this week, with a little help from its friends, The Syndicate was able to get an insider to make the killings that little bit easier. The crew fell to Militis.

With the dropping of Eternal Labyrinth came a crew spot which was for sale, available for any budding crew bosses to try their hand at running a crew, or perhaps the return of an old favorite. Well, after a relatively short time, the spot was purchased by The H.I.L.L. Family, a crew which had made appearances on the stats in previous rounds.

The Commission Blames |
DonBabbaX |
|
As you all heard The Commission had some problems with other crews as people think we are involved in Someones war, so i wanted to make a freelance article to make something clear, We are not involved in any war that happens now or in the future, Pointing on us The Commission because you are mad about your death isnt a good reason to blame The Commission, If you got an excuse like i have seen someone in your crew that used to be a shooter, than i was wrong accepting him/her because we The Commission are open for every kind visitor and i cant smell what he/she is thinking.

The Rise and Fall of a Stat Crew |
Convalescent |
|
This is the first wall of text I've written since I finished writing essays for school but I have time on my hands and I find the subject of crews quite an interesting aspect of Bootleggers culture. Many players hold a particular crew close to their heart and will relentlessly defend it in forum discussion. 'Which is the best crew' threads are rarely dictated by which crews have lived the longest, which has the most money, survived the most attacks etc. but by individuals personal favourite. Therefore I thought an examination of why our beloved crew doesn't always last might resonate with members of the community.
