An Interview With 5litre! MotherFrick


The Buzz follows up on its recent interviewing of the Elite Guard members by interviewing Administrator, 5litre. He has been part of the Bootleggers staff since 2004, as HDO. The Buzz contacted 5litre and asked him a few questions.

The Buzz wondered about the dates on which 5litre became staff of Bootleggers, so we asked him when. He said, “I first became a Help Desk Operator in 2004, I don’t remember exactly when though. I entered the Elite Guard as a Moderator in late 2005, although again, I don’t remember the exact date. I do however remember when I became an Administrator, it was on July 23, 2008. It is a date I will never forget!”

Following this, the Buzz asked him what his first jobs were as a Help Desk Operator, Moderator and Administrator. He said, “I think my first job as a Help Desk Operator was helping out in the forums, or answering a few Help Desk tickets. My first job as Moderator was most likely dupe checking people or checking they were following the rules correctly, and my first job as an Administrator was to catch up on the ban appeals, one of the most important things the Elite Guard do.”

Most people that play Bootleggers have their favourite moments, winning casinos etc. We at the Buzz wondered what 5litre's was. He said, “There have been lots of moments, it's hard to say just one. But for all of them, it's been that I've been around to watch the game progress and see some great players rise and fall.” He later added, “I just overall enjoy being an Administrator, it is fun.”

The Buzz asked 5litre what his main job was, does on Bootleggers every day. He said, “When I log on, I will check the ban appeals, and like any other Elite Guard member would do, check out the Help Desk tickets. My main job would be to look over the staff to make sure they’re doing their job correctly/efficiently. As well as this, I will try my best to make myself available to players to get a hold of and help with any issues which they may face. This does not mean that people should come and ask me how to play the game though, that is what the Help Desk is for, and they would probably get a quicker reply by using it."€

5litre’s fellow Elite Guard members had a lot to say about him. Sweetie said, “5litre has been a terriific member of staff for many years. He's helpful towards players and other staff members. He's always willing to listen and if you have a problem he always gets to the bottom of it. Overall he is a great person to have part of the team. Thumbs up to 5litre." Andy added, "Due to him being a Moderator for a long time he is a very experienced member of staff, which makes him a great Admin, who is always available to help and for putdowns."

As the Buzz has mentioned many times before, opinions from players keep the paper alive, so we again asked a random selection of of you about your thoughts on 5litre. MagsAFuckenLutely said, "I personally dont mind 5Litre. He is a positive supporter of the Bootleggers BootCast and any conversation that he and I have had about anything has always been amicable and friendly. I find him to be an approachable admin who is rather laid back and relaxed." NoMoreMercyV2 commented, "I've never had any close contact with him but I have chatted to him once. He seems like a nice guy, other people I know say so too."

Again this article shows the hard work the Elite Guard put into the game for us, and those who are thankful for it. Let's hope we see more of 5litre in the future.
