Busted, by Event Horizon! IShallPersevere
This week of Bootleggers began at a slow pace, and as the week developed it appeared nothing would be happening. However, things soon changed as previously dubbed peaceful crew Event Horizon (EH) got its members to load their guns and began shooting various targets. It soon became clear that EH was not shooting randomly, as many casinos began to drop, each being picked up by a different member of EH. Questions immediately arose. Why had EH decided to shoot seemingly innocent players? What would the crew do with the casinos they now owned? Would EH be trying to increase prices of casinos now its members owned the vast majority? The Buzz caught up with Betty, boss of EH, to see what she had to say about the shootings.

Firstly, the Buzz wondered why EH had specifically chosen to target the owners of casinos, rather than any other group, such as Dons, Bullet Factory owners or others. Betty told us, “Profit had nothing to do with it. N Rich, high ranks & such... they get shot at all the time. We wanted to do something a little different, catch people off guard. I think we succeeded in that.” With its aims of creating a stir and doing something different achieved, the Buzz then wondered what had originally drove EH to plan on shooting. We asked Betty this, and she quoted an earlier forum post by fellow EH councillor Magz, who had said, “It has everything to do with we were basically sick and tired of being called pussies because we don’t do anything.” Frustrated then at the criticism, EH had hit back, which proved unfortunate for most of the casino owners at the time.

With points being the key factor in many shootings recently on Bootleggers, the Buzz wondered how EH had funded its recent raid of the casinos. When asked, Betty told us, “Can tell you all bullets used were S Don bullets, no points were used for bullets.” This showing what can be done when a crew is home to the majority of the current State Dons. With reports coming in of 28 casino owners shot, EH will surely reap the rewards of these shootings.

Now owning the majority of casinos, speculation began in the forums. One topic suggested that EH would be selling the casinos at high prices to put the prices of casinos closer to what we had seen earlier in the round. This however was flatly denied by Betty, who said, “We'll sell them off slowly, we have already started. And no, we are not trying to raise prices, we only wanted some fun and to liven up BL. We are selling them for fair prices.” Whether EH will sell all the casinos or keep some, will remain to be seen, you will have to keep your eyes peeled and focus on the States page to see how the sales develop.

With only herself and fellow council member MagsAFuckenLutely dead as a result of the shootings so far, we wondered if Betty anticipated further retaliation. We asked her this, and she responded, “I will be really disappointed if no one else retaliates. Rumours are sure flying though... so I expect more shots to be fired at us.” A seemingly positive outlook on the possible shooting of more of the members of EH from Betty. Will EH be shot more? Will the casinos prices rise or remain? All will be revealed in time.
