As shootings progressed throughout the week, The Order found itself in the unfortunate position of ally to Event Horizon, as The Syndicate unleashed its bullets on the unsuspecting members. Many members were shot, and Bullet Factories dropped, however the spot stayed strong and did not drop. Why was The Order shot? Is this yet another enemy of The Syndicate? The Buzz spoke to the underboss of The Order, idl3bunni, along with council member madmacav15. We also caught up with member of The Syndicate, D, to see why these most recent shots had come about.
The shots were carried out by members of The Syndicate, who were at the time members of Event Horizon, LethaD and Etain. So what had provoked the shooting of The Orders members? D told us, Several of our members were in EH, who were supposed to be friends. After EH shot one of our SDons, Mags told us it was an accident. Then a little while later, EH shot 2 of our LDon shooters. Again, Mags told us it was an accident. So in order to test the loyalty of EH, we decided to shoot at a crew, to test EH's loyalty. Clearly then The Order was unfortunate to be picked as this target. After speaking to The Orders council, it appeared the crew had no indication the shots were coming its way either, making it impossible for The Order to be able to prepare for the attack.
In total, around 25 accounts were lost in the shootings. With the majority of these being ranked Legendary Godfather and above, the shootings cannot of come cheap. However, D casually told us that, TO? Not much, I think about 11 or 12k points. This may be an indication of the vast resources The Syndicate has at its disposal. Many disapprove of the use of points when shooting, however the effectiveness of The Syndicates members attacks is there for all to see.
Questions then arose as to whether this spelled a new rivalry between The Order and The Syndicate. However it appears not, as both crews representatives gave similar responses. The Orders council telling the Buzz, that a mutual respect exists between the two crews, however when or if The Syndicate appeared again, only then would rivalry be possible. D flatly denied The Order are a new enemy, telling us, TO is no enemy. We just used them to see how loyal EH is. We all know how that turned out.
This clearly then an unfortunate shooting for The Order to be caught up in. Both crews seeming to understand the others position, allowing both to move on with no rivalry in the atmosphere. Some have questioned if The Syndicates members still have resources left, this attack may be taken as a show of just what they have available to them. Will further shootings come as a result of Event Horizon seemingly betraying The Syndicate? Keep your eyes on the stats. For now though, happy gaming!
