The effectability of UG crews |

Since the dawn of bootleggers we have been acustome to crews on the board, we have been blessed by such crews as The Legends and the Winter Hill Gang.
However as time has passed, increased interest in crew admission has led to a new breed of crews; the underground crews. Many of the most famous include The Rapture amongst others, but in all honesty what do they add to bootleggers?
In my own personal opinion they allow lesser rank players to socialise and feel apart of a much grander scheme of the bootleggers community, somewhere where they can feel apart and wanted.
However they add very little to bootleggers, apart from the annoying post of recrutiment on the games forum and there ever so boring shouts of one day being the most formidable crew ever to be on the stats.
But this led me to a conclusion. UG crews must be popular with players in order for them to sustain life. Therefore wouldnt bootleggers be a much more fun place if situations that happened in the time period in which the game is set, actually came to light: for example massive crew wars involving more than 2 crews, actual land areas owned by crews that can be invaded and built upon by crews so that they can build monopolies, alliances between crews.
Maybe this could add the extra life to bootleggers that many believe has been missing for so long.
