A Constantly Changing World Shaktoolik
The world of Bootleggers is ever changing and can be described as different every day. Crews appear and disappear, players are shot and rank, and players sign up and quit. Every day when players log on they have the chance of spending some time to learn about what has happened whilst they were offline. As Buzz Writers, we are an effective example of how this principle works. In the middle of all these changes there suddenly was a crew called The Constant.

One of its crewbosses, iSancti, kindly answered some questions for the Buzz. “We bought it from com1, he shot Global Domination for it,” he said, explaining how his crew had benefited from the demise of Global Domination. After paying “400 points” iSancti could proudly call the crewspot his own. Together with his co-boss RedHerrings he managed to get his own crew onto the statistics and could get started on preparing their own run on the statistics page, as an official Bootleggers crew.

“RedHerrings came up with the name,” iSancti told us. “Constant stands for continuous, unvarying and faithful. With those principles in mind. Our aims are to become a powerful, constant crew within bootleggers, but also a welcoming friendly one as well.” As for the structure of this new crew we were told, “Well at the moment me and Redherrings are bosses, with Chettheman in a sort of council/underboss position. We shall create new positions as the crew grows in size.”

Whether or not this new crew will be capable of actually achieving what its name suggests remains to be seen. As said, Bootleggers is an ever changing, virtual world in which nothing seems certain. Crews seem to be removed from the statistics as easy as they appear and especially newer crews are the target of sprees and insiders. Constants such as The Order are rare, however that does not mean it is impossible for other crews to become such a constant. All it takes is dedication and time.
