Duping & Missions: The Whole Story DonSteelback

The last reset was a glorious time. The game had many more players, much more money, and Franny wasn't working for the Buzz.

However, since this past reset, we have seen many new changes happen in the game. Everyone has started with less money, the prices of items has dramatically increased, and the payouts for certain highlights in the game have decreased.

This is most certainly true for perhaps one of the most amusing features of the game: the in-game Missions.

As many of you have probably already noticed, the overall payout for completing the missions has decreased dramatically. Thankfully, the price to complete the missions has not risen, but that may come in the future. Apparently, the payout of the missions has been decreased to try and stop the overwhelming amount of duping that is occuring in the game. Some say that duping was influenced directly by the missions themselves. However, is this in fact the case?

Shortly after the reset that occurred on the 19th of October 2006, there were nearly 75,000 accounts created. Of course, this number was dramatically cut down to just over the 20,000 mark. Now, only 5 months later, it has almost doubled. Of this number, it is safe to estimate that not even half are legitament accounts. So now that the missions are no longer a draw, why are people still duping?

The payouts last reset offered up large amounts of bullets. Of course, there is no bullet sharing feature, so it makes it impossible to send bullets to duplicate accounts. So why then are the number of bullets that you receive, incredibly lower?

Every account that was created before 2007 received a total of 7,000 bullets from the GOTM contest that was held. If bullets were one of the main draws to create duplicate accounts, why are they being distributed anyway? Anyone that created a duplicate account before 2007, automatically received 7,000 bullets anyway, which kind of defeats the purpose entirely. Now it is understandable that the
monetary value would be decreased, due to the obvious fact that you can send money to duplicate accounts. Perhaps someone should start cracking down harder on dupes?

However this article is not about dupers entirely. It has been said by many players to STOP after the 2nd mission, which is the Deusenbergs Needed mission. From it, you receive anywhere from $1-5000, and 4500 bullets. This is by far the most beneficial mission to complete in the game. It is wise to listen to the public and stop there. You gain the most, without having to waste it all on the next mission.

Given all the facts, you be the judge. Has the duping deceased or at least slowed down due to the missions being worthless? Perhaps.

But should the missions be brought back for the next reset? And to their full value? This writer, for one, is in favour of that idea.
