Going Once, Going Twice... DejaVu

For a short time this past Sunday, players had a rare opportunity to bid on and win one of the hottest properties of the game, the Colorado Bullet Factory… To most players, this property is a sign of strength and power.

During dupe checks of Bullet Factory holders, it was discovered that a member of The Deadly Alliance (otherwise known as TDA) may have been duping. The Bullet Factory was quickly taken by Air and the holder banned. Once the situation was resolved it was up to Air to decide the outcome of this property. I asked him what his thoughts on the situation were and he had this to say, “I decided to get it back into the game. I didn't want to hold onto it for too long as a BF is a high-stake property and would be better in play. I then decided to auction it off. This auction lasted for a total of 2 hours, finishing at 12PM. The highest bid by that time would win the BF and be dupe-checked.”

The auction was started at around 10AM on BL time and posted in the Classifieds forum. The Supremacy, Winter Hill Gang, and The Deadly Alliance all showed interest in the property and the bidding began. TDA however, threatened to shoot for it if need be, since it was their property. With the Winter Hill Gang crew spot in the hands of an underboss, they pulled out of the bidding. I asked fastfoodfranchise, their boss about why they had backed out. Franchise offered the following statement, “Ninja was holding the crew when it happened but I had told him not to do anything major while I was away.”

With the auction time winding down, it appeared that only two crews were still standing in line, determined to get the Colorado BF. The Supremacy’s T1mTh33nch4nt3r made an effort to bring it home to his crew, bidding 2300 points. TDA would not back down though, making a bid of 3201 points as time ran out. They would keep the Bullet Factory that had been taken from them, just hours earlier. T1mTh33nch4nt3r was kind enough to give me his opinion on the issue explaining “I made a bid of 2300 and then I was outbid with the bid of 3201... a lot of people think that he meant to bid 2301 just to beat me.”

Just like that, TDA had safely recovered their Bullet Factory and no players were harmed during the process. The other bidders were left standing, to think about the property they could have had. It may be a while before we see an opportunity like this again.
