Getting on the Stats! |
InfamousKH |
|
The article of poisonbullet 'underground crew to official crew' gave me an idea for creating a little tutorial on how the best ways to get on stats work, so here it goes. There are new school takeover, old "skool" takeover and, of course, buying a crewspot. All of them with different advantages and disadvantages. I will list a few in this article and how you should organize it.
Newskool takeover:
This slogan means 'taking over a crew with a insider' also known as backstabbing.
To do a successful takeover of this kind, you got to have a high ranked insider. You need a set amount of bullets, and preferably a crew of at least twenty members. To get the crew itself, you got to shoot everyone inside the crew thats of higher rank than your insider, including crew holder and the person it drops to. The best way to do this, is to search the whole crew before you start shooting. You should also have atleast 135 points on hand, for Travel Immediately.
Advantage: Very often cheap.
Disadvantage: You will most likely get shot back at, loosing the crew if it's badly organized.
Tip: Check when the state dons are online and keep yourself out of that state. You should recruit one boss+ each hour!
Old "skool" Takeover:
This slogan means 'shooting a crew completely, so it drops'.
Theoretically, this takeover is simple due to easy organizing. All you have to do is to shoot every member of a crew (boss+), and have a friend be ready to make a new one. And since this is a takeover as well, you should follow the same things as a new school takeover once you have the crew.
Advantage: All the members are dead, none left alive for revenge. (unless they have good connections outside the crew and/or allies)
Disadvantage: Expensive, and takes time.
Tip: Make a good organized underground crew first, so that you have trusted members. Risking that much bullets isn't funny.
Buying a Crew:
This one speaks for itself.
Waiting for a spot to get sold, could take a long time. And usually, when you find one for sale you probably get the old saying 'buy = die'. Meaning mainly that someone else took it over, and tries to earn a buck or two on it. But you may be lucky and get a completely safe one as well. But don't be fooled by the word 'safe.' There are always someone out to get your spot.
Advantage: Needs less organizing and planning.
Disadvantage: You don't know your enemies, can cost THOUSAND of points.
Tip: You should never buy a crew spot alone, they are easy to loose. You should have at least 20 members to join as soon as possible.
Additional Things to Remember
- You must be able to pay crew tax.
- You should have the ability to change the crew name.
- The takeover can happen to you fast, if you aren't careful.
Hope this helped someone at least. So I hope to see some new crews up in public soon.
