A SUBstitute for hard work? |

White, then yellow, turning green to show the glories of red. That is how many Bootleggers players rise through the ranks of staff; gaining the experience needed as they progress. This week however, saw the world of staff turned upside down, as Sub become green and with it, the game forum saw posts redder than Sabins coat.
However Sub has protested that he does indeed have the qualification to be a moderator on Bootleggers. He admits last round, he pushed to become a moderator while a Help Desk operator. However, by not rejoining this round, he believed his chances were finished; At the time that I was promoted, it had merely happened. Negatron, as Sub was mainly known, during the previous Bootleggers round, had a lasting impact upon the Help Desk and the Bootleggers community. I designed and wrote the first maxbets site and until recently was the owner of the only "approved" maxbet site and maxbet accounts. This same maxbet page, has indeed proven useful to many players in assessing which state is the best to gamble in. Furthermore, there is growing public opinion asking BSF2000 to create an official Bootleggers max bet page. Such enthusiasm for the game and most importantly, its players, must be the single most important aspect of being a moderator. Sub regards himself as a moderator to whom the players can trust and rely upon. What a player tells me will stay between us, unless it's something that results in a ban.
Sub has indeed made an impact upon Bootleggers with his unique perspective on life. He feels that with this, and the other moderators, the staff can solve anything with an out of the box strategy. Having researched and fixed bugs and exploits within Bootleggers, his talent in seeing what many players do not, will help Bootleggers progress into an almost hack free online game.
For some, Subs promotion may be another example of corrupt staff. But for his supporters, Subs promotion is long overdue and the continued use of the maxbet page over the year has made Sub as much a part of Bootleggers, as the crimes that dominate the game.
