For some reason I wasn't expecting a response from the almighty Franny, I'll be interested to read what he has to say in response to this.
First, let me begin by assuring you, Franchise, my previous article was not aimed at you. It was aimed at the entire Bootleggers community in general. You will have to forgive me because I'm rather tired, so my spelling may be, for want of a better word, crap.
You shouldn't think of Bootradio as the main cause of the outcries of corruption, it merely spurred the cries once more. I do half agree with you when you say that staff should not DJ. We currently have 16 HDOs, 5 moderators and one active administrator, and there is usally at least two HDO's and two Mods on at any one time, so what needs to be done, is being done. So you cannot argue that there work on Bootradio is getting in the way of essential work on the game. As to Sabin, the big man, it is possible for him to do his job on the game, which I must say he does very well, and still talk in a microphone and click on something on Winamp, so what's stopping him from DJ'ing and fixing the game?
Don't get me wrong, but you can't rely on players to find bugs in the game, so of course staff have to go look for them, which often includes playing the game. You seem to have forgotten that most of the issues we have now can only be fixed by BSF2000 and Sabin, so this leaves the moderators free to answer the few help tickets they receive, manage the forums, and socialize. When they aren't working, why can't they fool around with Bootradio instead?
The origin on the points and money that were handed out was explained by either Sabin or 5litre, I forget which. They explained that at the beginning of the round many staff bought points with game money. Further arguments, I cannot remember, but that issue has been previously explained.
Any opinions you have, Franchise or others, please submit to the Buzz, or to MsNyxxie.
