The Forums: Spam Heaven? Lizzard2
Hello Buzz-readers,

I tried to make something nice out of my first Buzz article, so enjoy and I hope to leave a little message with this.

Many people visit bootleggers everyday.
The forums are used almost every minute, sometimes even every 5-10 seconds.

Excluding the classifieds and the crew forum, there are 2 forums.

1. The Game Forum.
2. The Off Topic Forum.

Let's take a look at the Game Forum:

- No Spam
- No Racism
- No OC Topics

Well, as its name might reveal, this forum is for creating topics, and posting messages concerning the game, bootleggers that is.

Does that include topics in which people show their affection to each other and have private convo's about making love?
Or topics that show how much people like the mods or admins, and trowing random words at them, which the devil even couldn't think of?
Now some people might say these two examples actually might have connections with the game, since mods and admins try to keep the game clean and running, and players are a part of the game.
But does that give you the right to post these kind of topics, going crazy on the game forum and spam like a 'forum-whore'?
In my opinion, No.

But it seems more and more topics are being created in the Game Forum, containing random things like the examples shown above.

The forum rules are only one click away.
Still, people ignore or don't care about them and happily post almost everything they can think of.

Asking for help with a certain mission? Fine
Asking how much it costs to start an OC? Fine, but try to take a look at the Organized Crime page first.
Asking how much people like you? Nah-ah.

That's where the Off Topic Forum takes a peek around the corner.

This is the Off Topic Forum for discussion of all things not directly related to the game.Please remember anything that goes against the rules in this forum you can still be punished for, that includes, but not limited to:

Racism
Spamming
Advertising
Selling and/or Buying Accounts
Posting pornographic images and/or links to pornographic sites

As you can see, the Off Topic Forum is kinda like THE place to be when you don't need to ask or tell anything about the game itself.

Just a little sidenote,

There are still new people signing in to bootleggers and when they see these forums getting 'spammed' with useless topics, they might get a bad impression.
Especially when they see people replying to their questions saying how much of a 'n00b' they are or other bad remarks.

Now I'm not trying to achieve world peace or something,
but I'm just trying to say these forums weren't made to make a mess of it, especially the Game Forum.

Make the forums a better place, and start with yourself... or at least try to.
