So what happens when a State Don feels the pressure? What happens when a State Don who has friends who also feel the pressure? Apparently some feel the State Dons are too boring. We've seen another State Don go for a crew wipe once before but never did we imagine another to go even further.
We not only witnessed a State Don kill a bundle of people but we finally got to see the, to some people, real reason why State Dons are around. To take advantage of their personal bullet factories and kick some... I guess you can figure out the rest.
So what exactly happened this time? I managed to catch up with one of the three behind the attack to get some inside information about the kills, why it happened and how.
The three that were actually behind the shootings were Atonement, Tom and Mackin. Atonement being the State Don/shooter. All of the mentioned belonging to the underground crew, The Clericuzio (TC).
In terms of what I previously mentioned about people regarding State Dons as boring, one person, according to one of the attackers, may have triggered the real need to shoot so many people. According to them, it was LadyinGray. She had created a topic saying that State Dons were boring thus making them feel the need to prove her wrong and also killing her as well, backing the action up by jokingly saying that "some may call it pathetic, I just think it's funny".
But that wasn't the only reason for starting the kills. "Jordan shot some money holders" and the ones that were hit had links to TC, thus urging a forward attack. Also stating that "the crewless targets all have different reasons, but I won't enter into detail there." That's not where I stopped.
We already know the back-reason behind LadyinGray but also for another victim. MetallicA.
MetallicA is one of the longest running accounts since the new reset and was claimed to be one of their nicest kills. But they didn't stop after making the crew kills and personal attacks. They had "quite some bullets left" and decided to shoot some casino owners in New Jersey (the home of Atonement and his magnificent 5 minute searches). Those who picked up the casino's were "not intelligent enough to travel away from jersey" and were also shot, just for the sake of picking up the casino.
However, jokingly, they also tried another move. They decided to try and have an organised crime with dead accounts. They invited a random weapons expert and driver, then shot them. Surprisingly though, "we still found an eqe AFTER we had shot the we and driver" with a State Don in the OC who was on a killing spree. Sounds stupid? I know I wouldn't have joined! However... "The oc failed though". What a shame.
Now one would wonder why they simply didn't go ahead and wipe a crew or two with the amount of bullets that went into this attack. Surely that would be more publicly acknowledged? It made me wonder too, however this had already happened. Some may remember when Mos and Rise wiped Mind from the Stats. That's right... they were also members of TC. When commenting about not doing another takeover, I was given a very truthful comment about it.
"Quite frankly, because that's quite impossible. Almost every crew has someone in vacation, or has members joining/leaving, visitors from other crews, members who have applied and will be taken in when the crew is under attack, etc. Besides, it was a one-man-spree, it took 4 hours of intensive clicking to get the job done!"
So where did that leave Bootleggers? In a state of shock. RIP threads appearing in the Game Forum... one after the other. Nobody really knowing what was happening or why. Until this. Atonement stated on his profile that he wouldn't bother explaining the details to everyone, instead indicating you all towards the Buzz. So now you have it. Bloody Thursday by Atonement. And I leave you with one last comment that was said.
"It was a mere attack on Jordan's friends, and judging by the way he reacted, I think we annoyed him pretty badly!"
