And then there was a Nation Don Mika

The big thing finally happened! A State Don got the invite to become the highest ranked player in Bootleggers; the invite to become the first Nation Don in Bootleggers history. This happened to the Illinois State Don Confectionery. “Waking up and seeing a big red invite was great. I didn’t have any friends online to tell before accepting it so I was kinda disappointed… but within minutes, friends appeared, I accepted, topics appeared and my inbox got full.” she told me.

With Confectionery gone as State Don, the Illinois State Don position was free again. The position was taken by TheBeanieMan who became the newest State Don. “The invite came as a shock really... after about 10 oppurtunities and no invites I had come to not expect much, but I got lucky and ended up with the spot. Regarding Confectionery I was sorry to see her die... she had worked hard for Nation Don and everyone liked her.” And about the jail busting: “Pretty annoying as I busted a fair amount, I always go on the bust page and remember that I can't bust.
But in Illinois I bust anyway to try and keep the jail going - make the state bigger.”
Yet overall TheBeanieMan is happy that he became a State Don.

Becoming State- or even Nation Don is something most players dream of. Even though most State Dons tell them it isn't that different from being Legendary Don. Even the newest State Don confirmed this: “Yeah, I cannot deny I was disappointed with the lack of 'gizmos' available.
I like the 5 minute search obviously but other than that there aren't many perks.” according to TheBeanieMan. Being Nation Don doesn't seem to add that much: “It was just the same as being a State Don except for the little differences such as the extra 2 Bodyguards, gold profile, 5 minute searches in all States, the personal bullet factory being available in all States and the profits from all States.” Confectionery said. Another difference was the promotion Bootmail. It said: “You have been promoted to Nation Don! You have reached the end. Congratulations!”
And so she did. However another meaning of 'the end' would apply to her pretty soon.

It came with a bang and totally unexpected. 36 hours after being promoted the first Nation Don died. Confectionery was shot by Impala. For reasons unknown. He shot her with 250,000 bullets, causing her to die. Her death came as a complete surprise since State Dons have been fired on with high amounts of bullets, comparable to this amount, and hadn't died. Yet Confectionery did die from the shots.
Trouble now was finding Confectionery to ask the questions that had to be asked. As her current account remains unknown to the majority and only few people know her new name it was hard to find her. Luckily enough; it was possible to ask questions through a middle man and acquire some details.

“I laughed when I found out I died. I was offline at the time so it wasn’t much of a shock as many people had already told me on MSN. The kill was expected, everyone has talked about being the "first person to kill a Nation Don" since the new ranks were introduced. Lasting 36 hours is a great achievement as I only expected to last 4.”

The most likely reason for her to die was that she hadn't enough bodyguards at the time. Of course I asked. She told me: “At the time of dieing, I had 3 Bodyguards. I left 2 in Penny when I traveled to New York and the third Bodyguard in Illinois. My Bodyguards knew they were allowed to travel whenever they wanted to and I’m glad they did.”

This means that, with no protecting bodyguards, Confectionery died of the 250,000 bullets that were fired at her. The sad end of a player that reached the top of Bootleggers? Absolutely not! Confectionery doesn't think about quitting at all.

“I will be playing exactly the same as I did from October last year. Just like the BM said "You have been promoted to Nation Don! You have reached the end. Congratulations!"... I reached the end, there was nothing more for me to do... so now ranking high again will give me a new challenge. I’m also happy to be a proud member of New York jails again.“

So watch out, we won't know her name until she decides to come out in the open but we might see her even before she does!
