LukkyB, Not So 'Lukky?' MsNyxxie

One of Bootleggers’ most respected and well known picture makers’ integrity was questioned this week as a website surfaced, causing a stir in both the Game and Off Topic Forums.

The picture maker, once loved and respected by many, has been known on the game as LukkyB for well over three years. Recognized solely for his perfect orbs, metal interfaces and rustic, reality graphics, LukkyB was unquestionably the best, the crème de la crème, the king of graphics and all that was put in question upon the release of www.howardsayles.com.

The website, owned by a Netherlands resident by the name of David Vincent, features most of LukkyB’s most well known graphics, equipped with a Howard Sayles copyright. Affiliated with Apple Computers, the sites graphics (if viewed at a large scale), forwards to www.TheAppleCollection.com.

However, in LukkyB’s defense, not every graphic posted on www.howardsayles.com is created by Howard Sayles (David Vincent) himself and contains graphics by other artists such as Joseph L. Davis.

Upon further investigation, another site surfaced for Howard Sayles, www.HSayles.com. This site, similar to LukkyB’s layout for his recently closed down www.RHPproductions, bares Howard’s name and site updates as recent as July 20th. Continuing on our investigation, we found www.HSayles.com/about/ where it featured a copyright under LukkyB’s real name.

However, Howard Sayles (David Vincent) seemed to have been completely clueless of LukkyB when a fellow Bootleggers’ player e-mailed Howard about his graphics. He replied, “Thank you for pointing out my artwork is being used on the “Bootleggers”. I have not given permission for the images to be used or sold. I have contacted (LukkyB) requesting an explanation. One again many thanks for taking the time to write.”

When I personally bootmailed LukkyB, the only response I got was “my mentor.” Although it would have been in his best interest to elaborate on the situation, he failed to do so and hasn’t signed in since.

Whether or not you believe the evidence provided, it is still imperative that we at the Buzz get some form of response from LukkyB himself. Since he hasn’t signed on to reply to any of this, we are going on a one sided source (although, we tried our best to make this article worthy of a two sided argument.
