The Organised Crime Divide |
Azelas |
|
Organized Crimes, the lifeblood of Bootleggers. Organized Crimes provide money, contact with other players and that all important rank experience needed to progress in the game. But what happens when you are low ranked? I'll tell you what happens, you get stuck, ripped off, ignored and disrespected by others. Why? Because you aren't 'good enough' for their OC. Being lower ranked brings little or no respect, or any form of real pay off from joining.
Recently, I was very rudely rebuffed for an OC by a player of Respectable Don rank. Apparently, 'low ranked LGFs' were only welcome to a rank up, an OC where no percentage of the profit is earned. Three days later, I was lucky enough to get a State Don joining my OC, and I advertised it. Then though, the same player who knocked me back earlier was now my best friend and wanted to join, for a very generous percent of the profit. He did not get into that OC, what goes around does sometimes does come around.
Joining OCs when you are lower than Don ranked is often a vicious circle. You OC with low ranks and make money, you spend this money hiring high ranks, who take your money and give none in return. You then go back to OCing with low ranks, which is all you can afford by then. There is an emerging rank divide in Bootleggers, with high ranked players refusing help to lower ranked players, only to come asking for help themselves soon after.
So I close by leaving a small message to you high rankers out there. Before you rip off a low ranked player looking for his first OC or ignore a BM from a player the rank under you, just remember that you may need them eventually. If you ignore these players now, will they help you later? The answer is know.
Remember, yesterday's low ranked 'noob' may be tomorrows ticket to the next rank.
Happy Playing!
