Ahh, the good old days. Sit back, play some Bootleggers, listen to it's radio... Wait! We can't anymore. It seems that it is always offline. It seems that, no matter how much the DJs tried and how much they invested in it's competitions, the popularity of the Radio has fallen.
It is my personal opinion, as well as the opinion of several other players, that the Bootcast needs more good DJs. Sure we have a couple of talented DJs and they are very good at what they do, but unfortunately, real life takes over and people can not DJ like they would want to. Or even like the people would want them to.
So I went to the only DJ I could find that was online and asked her a few questions regarding recruitment of new DJs and the current status of the Bootcast. Myst was kind enough to reply by saying that she thinks the Radio is in desperate need of new, fresh voices. And I totally agree with her.
We all know that the one who stands firmly behind recruitment of new DJs, is none other then Sabin. Apart from being very good at his job of Administrator, he also tries to make the Bootcast full of excellent DJs. But could that be the reason for the process going so slow?
Now when the Bootleggers Radio was an un-official feature and stood completely on it's own it was constantly online. And most of the DJs were the same. So where did this go wrong? Myst had this to say about what would happen, if a player was to be in charge of the Bootcast: ''Using me as an example, yes, I think it would go a bit faster IF I was able to train and hire ect.''
I tried to contact Sabin to ask him what the current status of the Bootcast and it's new DJs is, but unfortunately, he did not reply.
So in the end, all we can really do is wait. Wait for the good old Radio to come back and give us some entertainment, while we all play the game.
